OOC: Occurs after the Critical/Reunions/Meeting With Mother threads
Sky sat at his desk, his head pressed against his palms in frustration and his books shoved to the floor. Ever since he had spoken to his mother his mind was swirling with thoughts and words that just wouldn't seem to leave him be. Duty. Responsibility. Obligation. Eraklyon. King. Heirs. Potential. It was enough to drive him mad.
Leaning down, Sky picked up a book off the floor and brushed off its cover. Out loud he read the title, "Learn to Speak Elven." Shaking his head, Sky muttered, "Who am I kidding? I'll never learn this stuff. It's too late; I'm too far behind. Here I am, nineteen years old, and I'm only just trying to learn this stuff? Father already knew all of this times ten by the time he was nineteen. I'm screwed. There's no way around it." With a bitter smile, he tossed the book back on the ground. "Yep. I'm going to make one hell of a king."
Getting up, Sky made his way over to his bed and flopped down. If only he could get away. Pretend that he wasn't who he was. Start over. Get a new life. Things would be better that way. After all, they couldn't get any worse. He was already cursed as a werewolf, obligated to look after a kingdom for the rest of his life, being forced to find a 'suitable future wife' by his mother, and to top it all off, he felt immensely guilty for what had happened to Christine even though he knew that it wasn't entirely his fault.
And then there was Bloom. He hadn't spoken to her in days. As bad as it sounded, he just didn't feel like visiting her - even though he knew he should, considering that he was still technically her boyfriend and because she could probably use the company - her being a mermaid and all. Surprisingly though, he found that he really didn't care. She probably didn't either - not at this point in the game. By now, Sky had a feeling that both he and Bloom had given up on their relationship. They just didn't have what they used to have and there was no sense in dragging it out any longer. It was time to end things once and for all. Time to be a man and to grow a spine. Time to get his priorities straight.
Pushing himself to his feet, Sky grabbed his jacket off the foot of his bed and pulled it on. He had made up his mind: it was time to see Bloom and put things to an end. For good.
