"I told you, I was startled," she said, sounding defensive. "You hid that from me so how else was I supposed to react. If I could take that reaction back I would." She slowly rose from her spot and started to walk towards that open door. She paused a moment before him. Wordlessly, she wrapped her arms around his neck, and using that as leverage - kissed him gently on the lips.

She lowered herself back to the ground and silently walked out of the room, the pixietails following her slowly.

As Christine left, Sky sighed inwardly. He knew he had hurt her feelings, but what could he do? He hadn't wanted to hurt her, but she just wouldn't let things go. Most of the time he appreciated her stubbornness, but this was a more than special circumstance. When he said he wanted to be left alone, he meant it. When he said that this wasn't something he wanted her getting tangled up in, he meant it. She would just have to find a way to accept it.
