"Just let me dump these in my room then we can go." Tash called out to Kevyn as she started to enter her own room, earlier in class Kevyn had convinced her spend an afternoon in town.
Walking over to her desk Tash piled her books in a rather precarious stack and turned to walk out when something caught her eye. She hadn't left anything on her bed. Walking over Tash picked up the book and read the title of it, shaking she dropped the book. He was back; and the book could only mean that he wanted her back. That though made any fear that she had of the situation sink beneath a fine rage. He was not going to destroy her life again.
"Kev, can I catch up with you and guys later?" Tash asked, trying to keep the flood of emotions out of her voice

"Huh?" Kevyn poked her head into the room, "Why? What's up?"

"Some thing's come up." was all that Tash would say as to what was going on. Sitting on the side of her bed, Tash didn't look at Kevyn but stared at the book now lying on the floor. "He's back."

Kevyn came into the room, "Who's back?" She asked, picking up the book and sitting beside Tash on the bed. Kevyn had a good idea of who she was talking about but wanted to know for sure.

"If I tell you, promise your not going to go running to the others with this?" Tash asked, taking the book from Kevyn's hand. Running her index finger along the spince of the book, "Just because he's back, I don't want to be kept under lock and key by you guys."

Kevyn thought a moment, "It's Psi isn't it?" she asked with a sigh, brushing her bangs back from her face.

"Yeah it is. Either that or some ones playing a really cruel joke."

"And I suppose you want to go find out.... all by yourself again?"

"Actually, I really don't want to see him again so am thinking about just ignoring the book." Tash said, not sure what she was going to do

Kevyn watched her friend for a moment before standing. "Then I'll leave you alone to ponder what your plan is for now. Just catch me up later." she headed for the door, "Oh and Tash?" she asked just as she was about to exit.

"Hmm?" Tash said as she looked up from the book and waited to see what Kevyn was going to add.

Kevyn opened her mouth to say something but ended up just closing it with a sigh."Whatever you decide." she said, walking out. It didn't matter what she said Tash would face Psi alone, Kevyn knew it. So there was no sense in forcing her to lie.

Tash watched her friend leave knowing just what she was thinking but didn't know what to say so she just let Kevyn leave. Tash really didn't want to even see Psi again but knew unless she did something to tell him it wasn't going to happen, Psi would keep comming. So with that thought what could she do to give the book back and not see Psi?

"Where's kitten? She's supposed to be with you. Not that I mind but it'll make it harder to ditch your brother."

"Oh." Kevyn started, not really really noticing Kaelin standing right there at first. "Ummm. she has something she needs to take care of, last minute. She said she'd catch us up later."
