The Visit

Psi knocked on the Matthews door later that night. It was just after evening tea, the perfect time to bother them. He stood waiting. As he expected one of the girls would have alerted Lady Kimberlee to his visit tonight. As he waited he went over everything that needed to be said, done, and agreed on... by any means necessary

[Random NPC]

The Matthews bulter answered the door, "My Lord Psi. Welcome, we've been expecting you. This way please." He said directing Psi into Lady Matthew's parlor

Upstairs:

Having witnessed Psi enter Candice quickly ran to were her sisters were getting ready, "Hurry up you. He's here." the ordered them

"What already?" Mia asked struggling with her hair piece. All girls were dressed in their best, as per their mothers orders.

"Oh No! And My corset isn't even set yet." Ellen fussed with the laces trying to get it tighter.

Tori shook her head, as usual her sisters never ceased to amaze. They had really did it this time, their gowns had to be the most flaboyent and gaudy things she'd ever seen. Especially when compaired to her simple conservative style. Tori tended to lean away from the prospect of ever wearing a corset, the things annoyed her to no end plus they hurt. Finishing with her make-up, which again unlike her sisters was simple and down toned. "Here Ellen. Let me help." She said standing from her table to stand behind her sister.

"Really? Thank you Tori." Ellen said, unlike her other two sisters she rather liked Tori.


"Hmph." Mai crossed arms, "I don't know why you insist on thanking her for things she'd expected to do." she complained.

Before Ellen could retort a knock came at the door and a young maid entered.

"What is it?" Candice snapped.

"Your mother sent me to inform you that your presence is requested down stair Mistress." The servant said.

"Well of course she did. You needn't bother us with such trivial things. Now get lost."

"Yes Mistress." the servant left, giving Tori a exasperated look that almost made the Lady giggle.

"Well then Sisters." Mia said throwing her arms around Candice and Ellen, "Shall we."

Ellen giggled, "Oh yes. Lets." The three girls left leaving Tori to tag after them.

Tori debated for a moment whether or not she should even bother, Candice and Mai had done a really number on her back this after noon with the cooks switch, of course they'd taken it easier then usual since Psi had apperantly said something to them about him wanting her in good health. But that didn't mean that she didn't at least hae a few welts. In the end she choose it would be better to just go down an bare it rather then sit uphere until someone dragged her down. Sighed her rushed to catch up with her sisters.

Psi was sitting in the parlor waiting. One couldn't see over the robes but his legs were crossed and he was leaning back in the chair. He had heard the girls coming down, and shuddered slightly. This was not to be a pleasant evening. But if all went well, he would soon be getting married again. And if all didn't go well... lets just say the Matthews were not going to be happy.

[Random NPC]

"Greet Lord Psi girls." Their father ordered as they filed into the room.

"My Lord." Candice said with a curtsy.

"Good Evening My Lord." Mai copied her sister, fluttering her eyelashes.

"A pleasure Sir." Ellen curtsied so low that she nearly fell over, that is if it wasn't for Tori discreetly grabbing the back of her dress. She gave her sister and embaressed smile but took her place non-the less.

Tori fought off another sigh as she endured her sisters antics. When it was her turn she bobbed only slightly, "My Lord. It's a pleasure to see you again. Welcome to our home."

"Yes well enough with the pleasentries then." Their mother cut in. "Lord Psi came here to tell us something very important, so if we might get down to business."

Psi just nooded his head at the girls and Lord and Lady Matthews. It wasn't even required that he stand up. "Right to the point Lady Matthews" He said, folding his hands in front of him. "And I assume you quite know why I'm here"

[Random NPC]

"We do." their father answered.

Psi smiled at them. They were forcing this to be too fast, and it was taking the fun out of it. "Well then." he said standing up. He looked at each of the girls. Easily hiding the grimace of hate they brought to him. "I guess I must get down to the details" He pulled out the small box he had gotten earlier, and walked past each sister. Stopping at Tori he smiled slightly.

[Random NPC]

Tori stared at the box completely flabergasted. "My Lord?" she asked confused, this was too good to be true. She'd always liked Lord Psi but she never dreamed of this.

Psi had decided to be romantic like this time. So he found himself getting down on one knee, and taking Tori's hand in his. And right in front of her family, he asked. "Lady Tori, will you give me the honor of being my wife?"

[Random NPC]

: Tori just stared at Lord Psi, was he serious? Why was he picking her? Tori shyly looked from Lord Psi to her father a faint crimson staining her cheeks, at his nod of consent. Tori softly responded, "I will."

Tori didn't look at her sisters she had a feeling that when Lord Psi left it was not going to be pretty.

Psi slipped the ring on Tori's finger, smiling slightly still. He had gone to the jewelry shop he had seen Tori in a few times, and asked about the pieces she was drawn to most. This ring had been it. So he bought it easily. He stood up and kissed her hand. "I shall be by tomorrow, My Lady" he said. "But now I take my leave" And with a nod to the sisters and her parents, he left on his own

[Random NPC]

Tori stood there for what seemed like hours staring at the ring. Her reverie was broken by her sisters screeching.

Candice grabbed Tori and started smacking her, "How dare you you little Witch!"

"Yeah Lord Pdi was supposed to marry one of us."

"Makes one wonder what kind of favors you've been giving him in order to make him want you." Mia said.

But before the abuse could go much farther their father stepped in. "ENOUGH!" All movement stopped.

"Oh Donavan. Let the girls vent their frustrations. Tori has clearly overstepped her bounds somehow and it's in their right to show Tori her place." Their mother defended her favorites.

"Maybe at one time but now that she is engaged we have no right to disipline her. That must be left all up to her husband." He said, "Don't think the Lord Psi will be pleased if we overstep OUR bounds."

During the issues fight Tori broke free of Candice and ran to her room. Locking the door she fell to her bed, /Please don't wait to take me from here Lord Psi./ she pleaded.
