Amore grinned up at Layla as she settled down on the table, a large bowl of chocolate ice cream with whip cream and chocolate sprinkles before her. "Yum!" she chirped before picking up her spoon and going to town on the ice cream.
"Lay-lay? Do you think Stella likes me? She really doesn't hang out with me the way you do..."

Layla held her spoon a few inches in front of her mouth as she paused to think about both Amore's question and Stella, her fun but sometimes flaky friend. Shaking her head, Layla sighed internally. She loved her friend, she really did, but at times Stella was a bit too much. Too much of everything, really. A complete roller coaster - which was why Layla didn't blame for Amore for feeling left out.
"You know Stella, Amore. She's the complete opposite of me, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I mean, sure, she doesn't always think about how others feel, but that's just Stella. Act first, think later. She doesn't do it intentionally, I don't think. So I say that it's not that she doesn't like you, Amore, but it's more like she's not used to you. Give her some time for her to adjust, and maybe things will turn around and pretty soon it'll be me wondering whether you still enjoy my company."

"I suppose," Amore said, as she licked her spoon to get most of the chocolate off it. "But still, she could have asked me," she ventured. She looked thoughtful for a moment. "Lay-lay, what would happen if Belle," she shuddered a moment at the mention of her "sister", "or Holly," again she shuddered at the mention of the Christmas pixie, "showed up to cause chaos?"

"I wouldn't worry about it, Amore. You should be more . . . zen?" Layla laughed. "You worry too much. I'm sure Belle and Holly won't be a problem - and even if they did try to stir up trouble, we could keep them in check before they did any real damage to anyone."

"Famous last words, Lay-lay," Amore said. "You remember the trouble Belle caused last year when she wanted to recreate Beauty and the Beast? And Holly the year before that when it came to recreating the Nutcracker?" Amore shuddered. "I love both stories, Lay-lay, but they're just that stories. Holly and Belle want to make them real. And we know how much trouble they can be..."

Of course, one had to be careful with what one said - you never knew who might show up. "I'm hurt that you think that poorly of me, Amore," Belle said, coming to land and settle on Layla's shoulder. She looked over at the princess. "Hello, Layla."

"Hey, Belle," Layla replied, biting her lip to keep herself from laughing at the pixie's wonderful timing. "How are you? It seems like you haven't been around in ages." Teasingly, she added, "Perhaps I should ask you what kinds of trouble you've been stirring up, hmm?"

"Haven't stirred up any trouble," Belle said, pausing a moment, "yet." She smoothed the fabric of her yellow dress and looked at Layla and her "sister". She was going to be good for a while. "But I am thinking about recreating Beauty and the Beast at some point. It should help get all the proper couples together."
She giggled.

Amore groaned. Terrific - the terror she called her sister had arrived and had already started plotting. Just what they needed - Belle wanting to play Beauty and the Beast. "Belle, I know it's your favorite story and all... but do we have to?" Amore did not have fond memories of the last time Belle did Beauty and the Beast. Last she heard, the prince was still coughing up hairballs.

Layla grinned. Despite Amore's obvious concern, Layla didn't find anything too harmful with Belle's relentless attachment to that fairytale.
"Well now, Belle, I'm glad to hear that you've been keeping your nose where it belongs: out of trouble. Be sure to keep it there. No mischief . . . or at least none that will get anyone hurt."
Belle was definitely a ball of fire - and Layla loved it. After all, what was life without a little bit of adventure and fun?

Belle gave Layla a smile. "Oh, don't worry, I'll be good for now. But, I do have a few beast forms picked out for those specialists that you're friends with," Belle said with a giggle. "Captain Moody gets mixed with a cobra or something. Prince Charming gets wolf, oh, he'd be a pretty one. Prince Charming's squire gets the classic beast look from that Earther movie. Science boy gets treefrog and something else. And Poetry Boy gets to be a merman."
Belle giggled. "But of course, Holly wants to do the Nutcracker and I'll let her play first."
OOC: What the hell was I on? Wolf/lion/tiger? Dear Lord ::shudder:: And I thought that'd be pretty... Shoot me before I ever concoct something like that again

Amore nearly choked on the spoonful of ice cream she had been eating. "Belle!" she cried in shock. "That's going a bit too far, don't you think?" Clearly her sister had lost her mind - again. Mermen? Good grief! Tree frogs, cobras? Utter madness! Lions, tigers, wolves? Oh, my.

"Hey now, Belle - remember what you said: no trouble. Seems to me that your little plot is veering off into the deep end of things," Layla reprimanded mildly. "Don't make Amore and I come bail you out if things go wrong and out of control, okay? I won't be so pretty to be around then." Layla's voice was light, but behind her words was a serious warning to the mischievous pixie.

"I promise not to get in over my head. Besides, I'll have the spell break as soon as the boys get their girls to kiss them," Belle said, her blue eyes widening a bit. "I promise, Layla."

"Good," Layla replied.
Layla knew Amore worried about Belle, but she didn't really see a reason to this time around. So Belle wanted to reenact her favorite fairytale. So what. From what she understood, Belle would just put the boys under a spell to find their "true love" and that would be it. It's not like there would be any surprises. Mentally, Layla paired off the boys with their respective ladies. Bloom and Sky. Stella and Brandon. Musa and Riven. Tecna and Timmy. Everyone else would probably be left to rest. No trouble there.
Smiling at Belle and giving a firm nod of her head, Layla repeated, "Good."
