Feeling a lurch, Demetrius watched as the bright light faded away to reveal that he and Christine had arrived safely at their destination. As the portal dispersed, he turned to Christine and said with a gesture of his arm, "Well, here we are." Pausing for a moment, Demetrius wondered if he should just leave her here or if he should stick around for a while to make sure that she got settled back in. After all, she had been through a lot in the past couple days; it just seemed cruel to off and leave her, even if this was where her friends were. A thought suddenly coming to him, Demetrius said, "Say, why don't you drop off all these books in your room and then perhaps we can go grab something to eat in town. I must say I'm starving, and I know that you must be dying to catch up with a handsome chap such as myself." At this Demetrius gave her a cocky grin that showed that even though he was older, there were some thing about him that would never change. Namely his humor and self-assuredness.

Christine gave him a soft smile and a soft nod. "All right. I shan't be long," she said quietly. She silently made her way to her dorm and left her books there. She grabbed a small jacket and draped it over her shoulders, happy to have picked out a summery dress that the jacket would look nice with.
She quietly made her way back the arena and gave Demetrius a soft smile. "Ready when you are."

"All right, then; we're all set," Demetrius replied before he paused and then chuckled to himself. "Well, perhaps not yet; since I'm quite the foreigner here, I have no idea where a good place to go would be. I'm afraid, you're going to have to be my guide." As he waited for Christine to come up with an answer, he crossed his fingers that she wouldn't pick something too loud or bustling. Because he did in fact have a motive for taking her out to eat and he was determined to get the information he wanted to know out of her. Mainly about what was going on between her and the prince. He had heard gossip here and there, but he wasn't buying into any of that crap. At least, not until he got confirmation from Sky or Christine. He knew that it was nosy to pry into Sky's personal life, but it was his opinion that he had the right to do so. After all, it was his job to look out for the best interests of the royal family and in order to do that, he had to be in the know on things like this. Or at least, that's what he told himself.

"Full Moon Club," she said quietly. "It's quiet at this hour and I need to let my boss know that I'm taking the next few weeks off. Need to let my throat recover." Her hand slipped to the scarf and she played with the ends.

Demetrius nodded his assent, debating whether or not he should bring up the issue that was clearly bothering her - that was, the bizarre elf strangling - before he decided that she probably wouldn't want to talk about it with him, someone she barely knew. Instead, he chose to say with a smile, "Sounds good to me; go on and lead the way."

"This way," she said softly, leading Demetrius down the path, along a shortcut that she had found to let her slip in and out of Red Fountain without being caught by her team. Her blue eyes darted about, trying to make sure that the elf wasn't following them, although she doubted that he'd leave Eraklyon - not if Sky was there.

Seeing her concern, Demetrius said quietly as he followed her along the path,"If he's here, he won't hurt you. It's just that I highly doubt he would attack you when you're in the presence of others. But if he did try something, I'm here and I can assure you that my many years in the royal guard has provided me without enough skill to mortally wound him." At this Demetrius paused as he thought grimly to himself, he could kill him in a flash - unless the elf was immortal. If that was the case, this was a bit out of his league. But Christine didn't need to know that.

"Thank you," she said softly. "I just wish I knew why he was intent on strangling me to death. It doesn't make any sense when you think about it. I have no real connection to Sky's family, other then the fact that I'm good friends with Sky."

Demetrius shook his head as he replied, "I wish I had an answer for you, but it's a mystery to me as well. Even though I've known Sky's family for a good nineteen years, this is the first time I've heard anything of this curse, which seems to say to me that it must be pretty obscure."

"Well, I did manage to copy massive amounts of notes from quite a few books in that library of yours that could provide answers. I just wish I had decent questions for them.." She paused midstep and glanced up. "Here we are," she said quietly.
