: Brian gave her a wry grin. "Nothing wrong with sounding romantic. Someone has to be the counterpoint to my threats." Although, the idea of his cousin loving the prince that was merged with the dragon bothered him greatly - and he couldn't figure out why.

"Yes, I do believe I'll leave the threat making to you. Somehow, it sounds much more believable coming from you than it does coming from me. Of course, I lack armor and a sword, so that may be why..." She laughed.
"Of course, I don't think that adding either of those would help me much either. It'd probably look a bit awkward."

: "I had been out on a quest when I heard that my cousin was struck down by the sand merks. I," he paused and cleared his throat, looking clearly embarrassed, "abandoned my quest and came straight here. Of course, I don't think she'd be happy with me for just abandoning a quest because she was injured but that's neither here nor there at the moment."

"And I'm keeping you from getting to where ever you need to be, aren't I? I always forget that manners keep people from leaving when they need to." She looked slightly embaressed. "My apologies for keeping you here when you're needed elsewhere."

: "Actually, no. I think I can wait to see my cousin. I want to meet the dragon prince first," he said. "That is if he ever wakes up." Brian chuckled quietly. "I suppose she'd kill me if she knew I had her last letter. She's so cute in denial. A small snippit from it." He paused and untucked the letter from the pouch on his waist. He cleared his throat and read. "Besides, exactly what do I have that Sky would find interesting? I'm not the kind of girl that likes wearing skirts or dresses on a daily basis, or wearing make-up. I don't do the fairy princess, helpless damsel in distress thing very well. I speak my mind way too freely. And I tend to disagree with him. Although, Sky did take me to the Dragon Arena and showed me the new hatchlings... No, Aunt Danielle, that wasn't a date. Sky thought I was a boy at the time. And I was good - I didn't blush or anything to make Sky think I liked him. Not that I do or anything. But... I will say this... Sky does look cute as Gorbash. But you didn't see that - and I will deny it to my dying day if word slips out that I thought Sky was cute as a dragon. Of course, the whole teaching Sky to be a dragon should be interesting. I'll keep you up to date on what's happening with Sky." He chuckled.

"It certainly sounds like something's there, even if she won't admit it. And I'd have to agree that she probably wouldn't appreciate having a private letter read out loud to someone she's never heard of. I think it's safe to say that most people wouldn't like it At the very least, I know that I wouldn’t like it."
Rashiel sent him an irritated look back in response. She disapproved of this letter reading. As someone who enjoyed a large amount of privacy, it was hard for her to say that it was all right for him to do such a thing. It's one thing to give up information and secrets when they were your own, but not when it was someone else's.

: "True, it was wrong of me. But I can't help but tease her. She is the baby of the family." He gave a small wry grin. "Besides, she told my mother not to read anything into it - she never said anything about me."

"Yes, but I can get that but that doesn't make it any less wrong. On top of that, teasing makes sense when with family and friends, not when you're with someone you've just met..."
She shook her head and sighed. "And somehow I get the feeling that she probably would have included you if she thought that you were going to read it."

: "She probably would have, but well, she didn't. Besides," he gave the girl another wry grin. "Should give him some food for thought." He glanced over at the dragon. "So, have you met the prince he was merged with?"

"I'm afraid not. This would be the first time I've met him. I'm not a social butterfly like most of the girls, so I try to avoid spending a lot time at the dances. If there was a chance for me to have met him, it would have been at one of those dances."
She nodded and looked off into the distance.

: "Ah." Brian leaned back. "To tell you the truth, I'm not exactly thrilled that my little cousin is at this school. I don't trust half the princes here. My cousin refuses to accept that not every prince is a paragon of virtue." He rolled his eyes. "She's so innocent and naive that it scares me."

"Ah. Now that's both a good and bad thing. It may have its bad sides, but would you rather have her be jaded and cynical?”
She tensed up slightly for a moment, as her eyes scanned the room. She thought that she might have heard something, but she wasn’t sure. Whatever it was, it hadn’t continued the noise.
It must have been nothing or one of the other dragons, she thought. Nothing to make a fuss about. She went back to being relaxed once again.

"Maybe, maybe not. I wouldn't know the difference between a sleeping Dragon from a Dragon pretending to sleep. I rarely see Dragons to begin with, so I honestly know little about them. All of the Dragons I've ever learned about were Vulcania's, and they've been dead for hundreds and thousands of years." She shrugged.
"If he is listening though, I'd be surprised. Considering what we've said so far, I'd expect a reaction of some sort from him if he's paying attention."

OOC: Sky, that was a hint attached to a clue by four. Please post. : "True, but we were bashing his character so perhaps he's reluctant to speak to us." Brian bit his lower lip for a moment. "Of course, I probably also embarrassed him when I read that snippit of my cousin's letter."
