Chris shook her short dark brown hair, pulling a lock in front of her eyes as she examined it. She frowned as she noticed it was starting to get a tad too longish for her taste and comfort. The last thing she needed was someone like Riven finding out there was a girl in their class - that would be a headache she really, really didn't want.
She rolled her shoulders slightly, working the stiffness out of them. She really hadn't had a chance to relax in a long time and she was slightly happy to find out that the other people in her dorm were out - doing who knows what, not that she cared, really. It would have been nice to have been invited along on what ever the others were doing. She hid a small pout.
Chris flipped on her portable radio that she somehow managed to get to work in Magix, and placed her headphones on. She bobbed her head in time to the music and quietly sang along.
Swallowed up in the sound of my screaming Cannot cease for the fear of silent nights Oh how I long for the deep sleep dreaming The goddess of imaginary light
In my field of paper flowers And candy clouds of lullaby I lie inside myself for hours And watch my purple sky fly over me
I linger in the doorway Of alarm clock screaming Monsters calling my name Let me stay Where the wind will whisper to me Where the raindrops As they're falling tell a story
If you need to leave the world you live in Lay your head down and stay awhile Though you may not remember dreaming Something waits for you breathe again
In my field of paper flowers And candy clouds of lullaby I lie inside myself for hours And watch my purple sky fly over me
She tried to keep her voice in the male range as not to be questioned by someone as to why she had a singing voice that belonged to a female.
She froze instinctively when she heard footsteps approaching. She turned the CD player off, grabbed her bow and hurried to the door. She grabbed an arrow and knocked into position, drawing the arrow back into position before getting ready to release it. "Show yourself!"
