(OOC: This is a continuation of this thread winxclub.proboards31.com/index.cgi?board=trees&action=display&thread=1132809245&page=1#1132943149) Palladium kicked at Griselda's door. He couldn't knock seeing as how his arms were occupied with carrying Flora's sleeping body. After several moments passed with no answer, Palladium kicked again, more forcefully this time. Come on, Griselda - I know you're in there. Just answer.Palladium glanced down the hallway - no sign of anyone. He really should be taking Flora to the Nurse Ophelia, but her office was on the other end of the school and Palladium didn't have the energy to walk any more. Griselda's office had been the closest place to go to when he had finally reached Alfea, but now he wasn't sure that mattered since no one was answering his knock. He began to wonder if he should just give up on Griselda being in her office and instead head to the nurse's office . . .

Flora's hand tightened its grip on his shirt, and started to whimper again. The nightmares were getting stronger and worse. But there was one strange one - one that confused her. She saw a girl clad in a cream dress standing near the Specialists, her hands bound in front of her with a golden chain. A sad haunted hunted look was on the girl's face, almost as if the other girl had seen too much. In her dream, Flora reached her hand out to the other girl, to offer support, and gasped when she saw the girl fall to the ground, limply. She could hear the noise again, that awful chattering noise. She continued to whimper as she lay in his arms, the sand merks still haunting her mind.

Griselda threw open the door, yelling "WHAT?!" Her expression changed when she saw Palladium and Flora. "Oh. Come in then."
Moments later, Flora was laid on the couch and Palladium was sitting back in a chair next to her. Griselda offered tea. "You look awful, you know."she commented. She wasn't one to talk, but it was her way of being 'nice.'

Palladium simply raised his brows at Griselda's assertion. He wasn't in the mood for talking; he didn't want tea - all he wanted was to make sure that Flora would be taken care of. But reluctantly, he admitted that he'd never get Griselda's help if he didn't play along with her.
Accepting the tea she offered him, Palladium glanced over at Flora, deciding that he should somehow direct the conversation toward her situation. Turning back to Griselda, Palladium stated blandly, "I assume you want to know what happened to her."

"Well yes, or I wouldn't of let her in. What did happen to her? You should of left her with the nurse, not me."

"I believe she was attacked by sand merks by the lake. What I myself do not understand is how these creatures ended up here at Alfea. This is why I came to your office instead of Nurse Ofelia's; when I found Flora I did not see the sand merks - I only heard their chattering. There was no time to both go in search of them and to rescue Flora; because Flora was in immediate danger, I chose to help her. Thus, I fear that these creatures may still be roaming free here at Alfea . . . and that they could endanger other students. I believe it would be best if you could make a call to Saladin over at Red Fountain to see if he would send the Specialists here to search for any traces of the sand merks."
Palladium paused, waiting to see Griselda's reaction.

Griselda nodded. "Of course. It doesn't seem possible and deserves investigation. I'll call Saladine. Stay there." She left for Faragonda's office for a few minutes. (You see, Ms. G has no cell phone or other way of connecting in emergencies.)
(OOC: Red Fountain guys, if you want to start a new mission, be my guest.)
She was about to go back into the office- -but decided otherwise. She stood outside, beady eyes looking in. This is ridiculous! What are you, ten?! Changing her mind again, she re entered. "It's been arranged. I'll take Flora to the nurse,"she added in a gruff tone, jerking Flora roughly up in a way that would worry anyone.

Palladium frowned at the way Griselda handled Flora. Quickly standing up, he interjected, "Now that I've had a chance to catch my breath, I'm sure I can escort Flora to the nurse . . . I just wanted to make sure that you received the information about the situation as soon as possible. But - but now that you have, there's no need for you to do anything more," Palladium said nervously.

"Mm-hmm,"Griselda muttered discontentedly. Her eyes peared over her blue bifocals, seeming to see right through the professor. "Make sure she gets to the nurse. You may go." She then haphazardly dumped Flora in his arms.

Palladium nodded almost imperceptibly, aware that Griselda was suspicious of his intent. Then he turned and left Griselda's office, gently carrying Flora towards the nurse's office. (OOC: Heh, I just realized we don't have a nurse's office . . . so I'll continue the thread somewhere
