Griselda looked at the crowd. She glanced at Palladium. Do I really want to go through with this....all the way? she silently thought. "Ahem. I have called this meeting for a simple announcement: a new rule. There will be no Student/Teacher love relationships. I assumed this was an unspoken and obvious rule, but I assumed wrong. There was been some.....misconduct in this area."
The speech was taking a considerable amount of time. Meanwhile, a desperate daughter was hoping time was on Flora's side.

Palladium stared at Griselda, only half-hearing her words.
I shouldn't have agreed to come to this meeting. I should have been firm; I should have made Griselda see that the best thing for Alfea would have been for me to have left as quietly and as soon as possible. So then why did I agree to this . . . this display of my guilt?
Palladium already knew the answer: he didn't want to leave without finding out how Flora was doing. But he also didn't want to admit that. After all, he had already done Flora enough damage and he knew that if he went to see her again he'd only make matters worse. He recoiled at the thought of putting her into an even more uncomfortable situation than he already had.
" . . . misconduct in this area."
Palladium turned his attention back to Griselda's words and grimaced. She certainly wasn't sugar-coating anything. But it was better this way; it was better to have everything out on the open . . . well, at least almost everything. Griselda could say what she wished about him, but he refused to allow her to drag Flora down as well.

Tecna stood amongst the rest of her classmates, trying to block out the chatter that was rising from the crowd. She simply drifted her gaze off to the side, looking for a clock. She didn't know why there was a need to hold a meeting for such a practical announcement.
Of course there should be no student-teacher relations. Why would anyone disagree with that? They needed to avoid favortism between students, and as such, she would never have to worry about her hard work being mistaken as her being romantically interested in a teacher.
This was an excellent preventative measure. It was only a matter of time. But really, wasn't it an unspoken understanding? Why did Professor Griselda have to make such a huge demonstration about it?

Layla bit her lip in anticipation; she couldn't help but wonder if Griselda would be so blunt as to point out who had violated the rule. Shaking her head slightly, Layla pulled Flora's note out of her pocket and reread it - and this time she was very relieved that Flora had left. She didn't even want to imagine how Flora would feel if she knew about this meeting for the entire school.

Faragonda sat in the background in silence. She avoided eye-contact with the poor Palladium, but when Griselda proposed the notion towards the new school rule, she knew she had no choice but to accept it. She had always imagined that things would be permissable with a simply unspoken agreement amongst faculty that such a thing would never be an issue.
But apparently she was wrong. She internally sighed. Hopefully now that Griselda was given her way, the entire matter would die down and fall into oblivion so the school year could actually start properly.

Mirta watched as her fellow classmates tried to discover through gossip what had happened for Griselda to make a message like this. Personally, she wondered the same, but didn't feel the need to hear it via the mouths of those who may be untrue. She twiddled with her fingers to deny the urge to head to one of the teachers - or even Faragonda - to ask what had been going on.
But for some reason, she felt it was none of her business. It made her feel a bit left out, and on the other hand she was glad she wasn't involved. This sounded rather sticky - a business best not be in. She could get in trouble.

The announcement was over. No names had been mentioned. "The announcement is over,"Griselda said drily. "Faragonda, could I ask you- -never mind."

Doyne ran into the observatory, pulling Flora's arm behind her. "Ms. Faragonda! Hey, um..."she lowered her voice to a whispher, "What happened? Did Palladium get fired?"

Musa wondered why in the name of the cake Griselda was saying this. Musa looked at Palladium. Probably, probably this had something to do with him, as Griselda was looking at him, while she was speaking?
Then she thought of Flora. Maybe it had something to do with her too? Maybe. Or maybe not. Maybe was just her imagination. Maybe it had nothing to do with Palladium, Flora or any people that she knew.
Musa sighed. Yes, made sense students and teachers not having romances, as this could cause trouble. Big trouble. And she started wondering, about who broke the rule. And once more, Musa asked herself.
''What is going on around here?''
