Author's note: This was written long before blond Brandon was revealed to be Sky. And I was on the good ship Flora/blond!Brandon at the fic's conception. Bryce is borrowed from Lori's Twisted Winx Club Theatre
Musa sat at her keyboard, idly hitting keys while daydreaming about Riven. She sighed quietly as a dreamy expression passed over her features. However, her dreamy expression left her shortly as the sounds of the bickering between Stella and Bloom echoed throughout the hallway, drawing many of the classmates out of their dorms to take a peek at the latest round of the catfight.
Tecna glanced over at Musa. “Round twelve,” she said quietly, barely able to hide her rolling eyes and exasperated expression.
“They’ve been at it all day,” Flora added, massaging her temples. “It’s giving everyone a headache. I’m about to send my pet plant after them.”
“How about those plants from our jungle lesson?” Musa suggested, a playful expression on her features. “The plants would just love them.”
“No, Flora, no evil plotting,” Tecna said, bopping Flora in the back of the head, fixing her friend with a stern look.
Flora pouted slightly. “I suppose,” she said with a sigh. “But it would have been nice not to hear the catfight.”
Musa tapped the keys again, humming softly. The music bug had bitten her again, which meant the girls were going to be subjected to various parts of the new song being thrown at them while Musa tried to put the song together.
“Song for Riven?” Flora asked, looking at Musa. She rolled her eyes good-naturedly at the thought of Musa composing a song for him. “I thought the men were supposed to do that for the ladies.”
“Breakin’ tradition,” Musa said with a wink. “Actually, I found a song on Bloom’s CD that she let me borrow. I’m just doin’ some mild rewrite before we go to that the karaoke club the boys hang out at. It’s more of a dig at Riven then a romance song.”
“Oh, dear,” Tecna said. “This is going to be a long week.”

Sky sipped his glass of water and let Stella snuggle with him. The things he put up with for his best friend’s safety. ‘Did Stella have to wear all that perfume? I think I’m going to start sneezing shortly,’ he thought as a sneeze started to tickle his nose. He pulled out his handkerchief and sneezed into it, smiling sheepishly at the others.
Brandon was off in a corner, talking with Flora. Sky had to smile at that – Flora was just a smidge more mature then Bloom and frankly, Bloom was about to drive him insane if she kept prattling on and on about that dream of hers. ‘Go on and kiss Flora already,’ Sky mentally commanded his friend – knowing said friend couldn’t hear him.
Timmy was in the back with Tecna, discussing some random thing dealing with computers. He watched the pair closely, trying to see if there was a romantic spark between them. ‘If there is, I ain’t seeing it,’ he thought before his attention shifted to the sullen member of the team.
“Riven, would it kill you to crack a smile?” Sky asked, glancing at him out of the corner of his eye. “Or is your face stuck in the position of a glower?”
“Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny, Sky,” he said, glaring at him. “I don’t see why you dragged me along.”
“Someone’s missing Musa,” Stella said in a sing-songy voice, smiling smugly at him.
Bloom leaned over and thwapped Stella in the back of the head. “Knock it off,” she said, ignoring Stella’s whine of being hit. Her gaze shifted back over to one of the other male specialists, if memory served Sky, it was Bryce – poor man - and she excused herself from the group table and went over to chat.
‘Finally,’ Sky mentally cheered. ‘No more prattling about that dream of hers.’ He glanced back over to check on Brandon and Flora. He quickly turned his head back, his cheeks crimson. ‘Why did I have to look when they are in the midst of a make-out session?’ he thought, trying to clear his mind of the images. His eyes glanced up at the stage as the missing Winx Club member appeared. “Oh, shit,” he swore, seeing the irritated look in her eye as her gaze settled on Riven. “Why did you have to piss her off?”
“Me?” Riven asked, pretending to be clueless. “And what am I supposed to have done this time to her?”
“This song’s dedicated to a certain Specialist who needs his ass kicked every now and again,” Musa said, blowing a kiss in the direction of Riven. “It's gonna--be--me Oooh, yeah You might've been hurt, babe That ain't no lie You've seen them all come and go, oh… I remember you told me That it made you believe in No girl, no cry Maybe that's why
Every little thing I do Never seems enough for you You don't wanna lose it again But I'm not like them Babe, when you finally, Get to love somebody Guess what, It's gonna be me…
You've got no choice, babe But to move on, and you know There ain't no time to waste You're just too blind too blind, to see But in the end, ya know it's gonna be me You can't deny So just tell me why
Every little thing I do Never seems enough for you You don't wanna lose it again But I'm not like them Babe, when you finally Get to love somebody Guess what It's gonna be me
It's gonna be me Oh yeahhhhh... There comes a day When I'll be the one, you'll see... It's gonna-gonna-gonna-gonna-gonna
It's gonna be me
All that I do Is not enough for you Don't wanna lose it But I'm not like that When finally You get to love Guess what
Every little thing I do Never seems enough for you babe You don't wanna lose it again don't wanna lose it But I'm not like them Babe, when you finally Get to love somebody Guess what It's gonna be me
Every little thing I do ohh... Never seems enough for you You don't wanna lose it again don't wanna lose it But I'm not like them Babe, when you finally babe when you finally Get to love somebody Guess what
It's gonna be me…”
Riven buried his face in his hands. “I’m not going to live this down,” he groaned.
“Well, consider it punishment for hurting her with Darcy. Love spell or not,” Sky said with a smirk. He arched an eyebrow when he saw Stella untangle herself from his arms and bounced over to where Bloom was. “Now what?” Sky said, massaging his temples.
Riven looked at him. “They’re headed for the stage. This is a karaoke club. You do the math.”
“I don’t want to do the math,” Sky whined. “I don’t want to know.” He massaged his temples. “Why do I think this is going to be a long night?”
Bloom glanced over at Stella and giggled. “Shall we?” she asked, more then a little drunk since the Specialist she had been chatting with had kept giving her a glass of wine – if only to get her to stop talking.
“Let’s,” Stella said and signaled for the song to start. She could see the looks they were getting and giggled.
“Young girl, there's no need to feel down I said, young girl, pick yourself off the ground I said, young girl, 'cause you're in a new town There's no need to be unhappy
Young girl, there's a place you can go I said, young girl, when you're short on your dough You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find Many ways to have a good time.
It's fun to hang with the WINX It's fun to hang with the WINX They have everything for young girls to enjoy. You can hang out with all the boys.
It's fun to hang with the WINX It's fun to hang with the WINX You can get yourself clean You can have a good meal You can do whatever you feel.
Young girl, Are you listening to me I said, young girl, what do you want to be I said, young girl, you can make real your dreams, but you've got to know this one thing.
No girl, does it all by herself I said, young girl, put your pride on the shelf And just go there, to the WINX I'm sure they can help you today
It's fun to hang with the WINX It's fun to hang with the WINX They have everything for young girls to enjoy. You can hang out with all the boys.
It's fun to hang with the WINX It's fun to hang with the WINX You can get yourself clean You can have a good meal You can do whatever you feel.
Young girl, I was once in your shoes, I said, I was down and out with the blues I felt, no man cared if I were alive I felt the whole world was so jive
That's when someone came up to me and said young girl take a walk up the street There's a group there called the WINX. They can start you back on your way.
It's fun to hang with the WINX It's fun to hang with the WINX They have everything for young girls to enjoy. You can hang out with all the boys.
WINX. It's fun to hang with the WINX. It's fun to hang with the WINX Young girl, Young girl, there's no need to feel down Young girl, Young girl, pick yourself off the ground
WINX. Just go to the WINX. Young girl, Young girl, I was once in your shoes, Young girl, Young girl, I was out with the blues
WINX. WINX. WINX. WINX,” they sang, not caring one whit about how foolish they looked or sounded.
Timmy looked over at Tecna. “Aren’t those your friends, Stella and Bloom?” he asked, puzzled by the girls’ behavior.
“I certainly do not know those people. I don't know what you're talking about. Look, this is the newest in digital technology,” Tecna said, and pointed to picture in the magazine they had been looking at.
“Riiiiiiight,” Timmy said before returning his attention to the article. “Fascinating,” he said, arching an eyebrow as he did.
“Isn’t it?” Tecna asked. “I wonder how much one of those things costs.”
“I wonder,” Flora said to Musa after Musa joined her and Brandon at a back table, “if we would get in trouble if we changed the locks on our dorms so we could let them in?”
“Given that display?” Musa asked, wincing as every note had been horribly maimed and killed by the pair. “Probably won’t get in trouble. I feel sorry for Sky – Stella was up on the stage singing.”
“Hopefully, he remembered his ear plugs,” Brandon said, wincing as well. “And if I were you, I’d ask to change the name of your group.” He saw out of the corner of his eye that Flora was giving him a look. “What?”
“Can you go up and sing?” she asked softly, lowering her eyes and smiling gently at him. “You know which song.”
Brandon leaned over and kissed her, earning a playful “ewwwwww” from Musa. “Okay, my flower.” He walked over to the stage and waited for his song to start. "Remember me... remember me... Find myself all alone in darkness without you Now I can't turn away from what I must do You know I'd give my life for you More than words can say I've shown you how to love someone I know you'll find a way Say goodbye, close your eyes - remember me Walk away, the song remains - remember me I'll live forth somewhere in your heart, You must believe - remember me
No way I can change my mind I don't have the answers If you could see through my eyes You'd let go of your fears And though I have to leave you now We are part of each other I'll miss your touch, you'll call my name I am with you forever Say goodbye, close your eyes - remember me Walk away, the song remains - remember me Winds of change we can't explain - remember me I'll live forth somewhere in your heart You must believe - remember me
You know I'd give my life for you More than words can say I've shown you how to love someone I know you'll find the way Say goodbye, close your eyes - remember me Walk away, the song remains - remember me Be there to watch over you - remember me Feel I'm gone, my heart lives on - remember me Don't you think of this as the end I'll come in through your dreams - remember me Close your eyes - remember me Say goodbye - remember me Say you will - say you will - say you will... Close your eyes - remember me Say you will - say you will - say you will... Say goodbye - remember me..."
Flora sighed in contentment, happy to hear the song that had won her heart for him being sung once more. “As beautiful as the first night’s,” she whispered to herself.
Musa looked over at her friend. “Say wha?” she asked, arching an eyebrow. “Or is that more of what happened between me and Brandon happened in private and behind closed doors?”
“More of what happened between me and Brandon happened in private and behind closed doors, Musa. But I’ll tell you and the others, someday,” Flora said, sighing softly. She blushed as Brandon walked down and kissed her gently on the cheek.
“Just as good?” he asked, as he sat down and snuggled with her.
“Just as beautiful,” Flora corrected. She smiled as he laced his fingers through hers. She gently rested her head on his shoulder and nearly started to drift off to sleep.
“You two are so sugary,” Musa said, trying hard not to gag. “Fluff, fluff and more fluff.” She crossed her eyes and stuck out her tongue. “Mlaaah.”
Riven glanced up at the stage, then over at Musa. ‘Hm,’ he thought to himself. ‘I probably should give her a response to her song.’ He stretched slightly and headed for the stage. “I'm going home with gold and silver from all the battles I've won But even though I've so many treasures, I have a feeling I've none...
I have left Father's kingdom & traveled away I crossed through the oceans, Climbed over mountain, searched every way But where am I going? What do I search for? And where is my princess? Where is the one I long for, long for... Where?
Is she there beyond the river? Or somewhere upon its shore? Is there a path within these woods That will lead me to her door?
The journey is ending... What did I learn? I still have not found it Shall I continue? Shall I return? Where am I going? What do I search for? And where is my princess? Where is the one I long for, long for... Where?” he sang, reaching out for Musa.
Musa’s dark eyes lit up as she saw him reaching out for him and she walked up to the stage. “Is this a dream? Are you someone in my head? If I just close my eyes, will I awake in my own bed? Will I find you hidden only in my dreams? Tell me where could you be Nothing here is what it seems,” she sang.
“If you see with your heart, Close your eyes, look inside, then you'll know Every secret inside will shine through Just for you It will show The sun is glowing in the cloud A face is smiling in the lonely cloud If you see with your heart, Every dream waiting to come true Will be free, once it's found by you,” Riven sang quietly.
“If you see with your heart,” Musa sang, looking into his eyes.
“Look within, wish & then you will see,” Riven responded, looking into her eyes, seeing the love she had for him reflecting in her eyes.
“What is hiding inside,” she sang shyly, her cheeks tinting a slight rose.
“May be shy,” Riven admitted quietly, before leading the pair into a duet. “Give it time to be free The butterfly is trapped inside Once it is free, it has no need to hide If you see with your heart, Every dream waiting to come true Will be free, once it's found by you... If you see with your heart, Close your eyes & then you will see. What is hiding inside, Beauty,” Riven sang, before ending the song with a kiss for Musa.
Timmy looked over at Tecna, and shook his head. “And yet another couple gives way to the fluff.”
Tecna’s head dropped to her hand. “My friends are turning into utter fluff magnets. Utter fluff magnets.” She sighed, glancing over at Timmy. “Oh, no, don’t even think it. There’s no way you’re going to convince me to go up and sing.”
Timmy laughed. “Relax, Tecna, I wasn’t going to ask you to. I was going to point out that Bloom seems smitten with Bryce.”
“Who looks like Brandon….” Tecna said, looking at him. “Wonderful, that’ll keep her busy for now.”
