Hi Mama,
I know I haven't written in a while. I've been busy at school. I, uh, you remember the teacher I told you about? Professor Palladium..? Ikindahaveacrushonhim. But I'm so confused. Some days he acts like he has a crush on me, others no.
Was Papa like this when he courted you?
Give my love to everyone.

Hi Mama,
Oh, I feel so utterly silly. I mean, there's that specialist - Helia - and he seemed to like me, but no, I had to be difficult and pick my professor to be the object of my affections. I swear, if he, Professor Palladium, that is, thinks he can play with my heart and not think I'd be upset, he has another thing coming. Two can play with the "mess with the other person's heart" routine. I think if Helia asks me out on a date, I'll accept and make sure the professor knows.
Oh, I know I'm being spiteful, but I need to know exactly where I stand, where we stand. At least the fact that you went through this with Papa reassures me. Is this the fate of all us females from Linphea? Having to deal with men who don't make their motives clear?
Give my love to everyone.

Dear Mama,
I had bit of an accident while at school - hence why my penmenship leaves a lot to be desired. A friend was a most dire predictament and I cast a forgotten spell to try and lend aid. Well... the price of the spell was the taking of my vision. Other then that I'm fine so please don't worry too badly.
Well... since Christmas *is* coming up - I was figuring to sneak home early. And I would love to come to Athryell with you. I know I can't see the flowers anymore, but I can still smell them. And... a friend told me about this cherry tree, it blossoms year-round. It's near the rose garden in the flower field... The friend said that he knew someone who frequented there that could help restore my vision. It's worth a shot, Mama.
Give my love to everyone and please don't worry too much, Mama. I'm sure my lack of vision won't last forever.
Your flower princess, Flora
