"Vampire mouse or not?" Mali asked with a straight face even though her eyes were sparkling with laughter. "Feed it for real now?"

: Jules looked at Mali. "I don't know if it hissed because it's a vampire or hissed because I didn't give it food. Rather then find out the reason for the hiss..." Jules said before tossing the mouse a small piece of bread. The mouse devoured it as soon as the bread hit the floor.

"I've never encounted a vampire before but do vampires eat stuff other then blood?" Mali inquired as she watched the mouse, she still found it to be rather disturbing.

: "No idea. I never studied vampires. We don't have them on Lovelylocks. Unless you count your suitor, but he was a different type."

"I don't think he counts as a vampire, leech perhaps."

: "Aren't vampires leeches?" Jules asked, sounding amused. "Anyway," he said, leaning over carefully to snag the mouse. "This is really the most pathetic mouse ever."

"Point for the vampiric leeches, that suits Bryant to a tee. And yes that is the most pathetic mouse ever. I would say after all he's been though it is understandable but it looked like that back when we were kids." Mali said as she eyed the mouse, the poor thing.

: "On second thought, let's skip the professor and just go straight to the top. An ex-fairy godmother, if she is one, should be able to break a spell if there is a spell on the mouse. That and from what I heard, Wizgiz isn't the most serious professor."

"You heard right about Wizgiz, he's not very serious but is a good teacher. The students learn well from his way of teaching. Want to go and see Faragonda now or in the morning?"

"Can we both be having the same figment of an imagination?" Mali asked, "And suggestions on where to put the mouse tonight that is not back in the trunk?"

: "It has been a trying few days and we are exhausted so it stands to reason that we're both sharing the same illusion." He paused to think. "What about that jar of yours? The one you put Strongheart's mouse pixietail in that time before you realized that somehow the pixietail had gone mad and bonded to a male instead of a female?"

"And I still find that pixietail to be more then a little disturbing. Since Lady and her maidens have handed down their pixietails, what has happened to Strongheart's?" Mali asked as she tried to remember where she had put that jar or even if she had brought it with her.

: Jules gave a throaty laugh. "I just had an amusing thought. What if that pixietail bonds to Christine's significant other?"

"Dear lord, I hope not. Is your daughter and neice having pixietails not bad enough? Although imaging him running around with a blue mouse with more hair then Sky has ever had in his life is amusing." Mali laughed.
