"Nothing really special. I was just feeling in the mood to read poetry," she admitted. "There's just something relaxing about reading poetry and being curled up in a thick blanket with a cup of hot tea..."

Karina laughed softly as she replied, "That sounds exactly like something I would say; you see, right behind poetry, I think tea is my second love. I love all kinds - black, green, white, herbal - although, I think my all-time favorite one is Cranberry Apple. It's so full-flavored and delicious." Pointing her finger to a small shop across the street, Karina continued, "That's a really good place to have tea, if you're ever in the mood for some."

"Any types of tea that they sell at that tea shop that you recommend?" she asked. Funny, why hadn't she had tried to be friends with Karina sooner? They seemed to have a bit in common.

Karina nodded her head enthusiastically, thoroughly enjoying the conversation she was having with Flora. "Oh, definitely. Let's see - there's something called Morning Miracle, which is the perfect pick-me-up when you're tired. And then there's Angel's Dream, which sweet and pungent and heavenly. It's especially good with a packet of sugar and when it's hot." Pausing for a moment, Karina then said sheepishly, "You probably think I'm silly for being this excited about tea - but what can I say? I'm a total tea aficionado."

"OOooo, Angel's Dream sounds like it'd be heavenly right about now. My treat," Flora said, smiling at Karina. Funny, she used to feel this happy when hanging out with the other girls but now... well... she felt much more at ease now with a smaller group.

Swinging her bags, Karina asked with a happy smile, "Well, how could I possibly resist such a great offer?"

"Lead the way," Flora said quietly. "And then we'll order and have a nice afternoon."

Entering the shop, a wonderful aroma of freshly brewed tea filled Karina's nose; with a content sigh, she pointed to the opposite wall where seemingly hundreds of jars of different flavored tea leaves sat on rows of shelves. "That's why this place is so unique," she told Flora. "Most tea shops only have fifteen or twenty blends available, but this place - well, you can see for yourself the selection they have to offer. But anyhow, you pick a table and I'll go up to the counter and ask them to brew a pot of Angel's Dream."
A few moments later, Karina returned and said as she took a seat, "It'll take about three to five minutes to make, but it'll definitely be worth the wait." Drifting off into silence, she then said, seemingly out of the blue, "This is really fun, you know; I mean, it's just that I usually do these kinds of things alone - so it's a nice change of pace to have a friend tag along for once."

"I just wonder why I didn't hang out with you before. This feels more natural then when I'm hanging out with my other friends. So, thank you," she said softly. "I'm enjoying myself."

At this, Karina nodded understandingly. "I know what you mean; sometimes I look around at the other girls at Alfea and I wonder what they're like and if we could become friends if we just started talking, but I think because everyone is so set in their cliques, it makes it really difficult to form new friendships. So it's a really pleasant surprise when it does happen."

Flora found herself more at easy talking with Karina then she did with the other girls - well, the only other one she got along easily with from the Winx Club was Layla - but right now, it was a bit tense. But her memory was coming back so that was good.

As the waiter brought their tea, Karina poured a cup for herself and for Flora. Settling back in her chair, Karina brought her drink to her face and lightly breathed in the sweet scent. With a smile, she told Flora, "Be prepared to taste something out of this world."

Flora brought the tea cup up slowly, taking a whiff of the tea. It did smell heavenly, hopefully it would taste as good as it smelled. She sipped it slowly, wanting to enjoy the taste of the tea. Her eyes widened in surprise before they closed part way in sheer contentment. "Hm... You are right, this is good."

"Well, I'm glad you like you," Karina replied in a pleased tone. After a moment's pause, she continued, "It's such a lovely day, isn't it? I'm just glad that I'm not cooped up in class the way we normally are five days a week, seven hours a day; sometimes it feels like a wonder that I get to visit Magix at all. It's something I need and when I can't, it drives me crazy. You see," Karina elaborated, "I'm a city girl. I know, I know . . . hard to believe that little shy me could be anything more than a country bumpkin, but I am. I adore the city - the way it's filled with so many people, so much activity. It makes me feel safe, in a strange way. You would think that the opposite would be true considering how crime rates are so much higher there than in small towns, but in the city, it's like you're in your own little world. No one cares who you are or what you do - you can be anyone or anything you want to be. I like that idea, you know?"
