Name: Tecna
Age: 17
Powers: technology, intellect, and science
Originally from: Third Vector of the Binary Galaxy
Known Family: Unknown
Hobbies and pastimes: Reading, academics
Favorite music: Classical
Favorite foods: Salads--though she'll pretty much eat anything.
Bio: Coldly logical and a striving intellectual, Tecna is extremely ambitious, nearly to the point of alienating those around her. Tecna is a perfectionist to a fault, and thus has a low tolerance for stupidity and ignorance. She frequently mistakens imperfection for laziness, and as a result is hardest on those she cares most about. Concurrently, she is even harder on herself, striving for standards of excellence that the others consider practically inhuman.
Interview:
Who do you want to play?: Tecna
Why?: I feel that I can relate to her more than any other character, and that with her I will be able to not only develop her into a deep, likeable character, but I will be able to enhance the other players' roleplaying experiences as well.
Have you ever RP before? Where?: Yes. I've been roleplaying for over ten years. I started on a chat-based AOL RPG back in the 1.0 days (yeah, I've been on the internet since AOL charged hourly rates!), and I have participated and continue to participate in IRC-based, Proboards-based, and LiveJournal-based RPGs. If you would like examples, I will be more than happy to supply them to you. I am also quite the fanfic writer.
How many times would you say you should post a day?: Depends upon how fast the game is moving!
Do you mean to stick with this site (in other words, will you NOT quit after a month or two?): Absolutely, as long as we can keep things interesting.
Please write a sample post for the character you want below:
Tecna was hunched over her bedroom desk, chewing on the tip of her pencil. Her eyebrows were arched in an aggrevated manner as she attempted to--to--
thud. thud. thud.
She weaved her fingers around her pencil, and then clenched her fist, the pieces of wood splintering across her desk as she broke it in her frustrated grip. She slammed her palms on her desk, and stood up from her chair.
Beelining towards Musa's bedroom, Tecna breathed through her nose in order to calm herself. She had a paper due by five that evening, and with the grating sound of Musa's stereo base shaking the very confines of Tecna's dorm room, she had spent the past few hours being very inproductive!
Bass decible overload factored into the constant environment of small quarters divided by the number of residents in specified school hall "alfea" = efficiency...negative! Does not equate! Tecna ground her teeth as she fumed to herself. She paused in front of Musa's door, and took in another slow breath before raising her fist to knock on the door.
She knocked. Nothing.
thud. thud. thud.
Her eyebrow twitched. Of course there's no feedback--my knocking is inaudible! Tecna rose her fist again, and this time, proceeded to pound heavily on the door. Surely she would hear her over that racket this time.
