"No, the last thing that I know about is when Sky was turned into a wolf. What is this about Lord Darkar?" Bloom asked becoming more confused and a little worried.

Layla averted her eyes as she replied quietly, "You may want to sit down for this, Bloom because what I'm about to tell you is going to be . . . hard to hear."

"Okay, Layla your starting to scare me." Bloom remarked as she stepped further into the room and sat on the nearest available seat. "Now what's going on?"

Not able to take the tension, Stella blurted out before she could stop herself, "Sky and Flora are under Darkar's control . . . they're evil now!" As soon as the words were out, Stella clamped her hands over her mouth, feeling horrid.

"What? Our sweet, shy, little Flora has become evil." Bloom responded focusing on the unbelievable one. "How did it happen?" Bloom asked not completely believing them yet.

"Your guess is as good as ours," Belle said.

Ignoring Belle's comment about guessing how they became evil, Bloom started "And as for Sky he is at Red Fountain, the professor sent him there with that strange loner. How can he be evil, he's a wolf." Bloom tried to make sense of this.

Belle silently hoped that Bloom hadn't been referring to her partner as the strange loner. She drooped a bit. "We think Sky returned to human and because the seer is his friend, that he went to rescue her..."

"Who's the seer? And anyone else there that I should know about?" Bloom asked, starting to believe them.

Knowing that Bloom was sensitive to the gossip currently surrounding Sky, Stella smiled encouragingly as she replied, "Yeah, Sky's a good person. If someone needed him - I mean, if anyone needed him - he'd help." Not able to stop rambling, Stella continued awkwardly, "It's not like he helped the seer - I think Layla said her name is Christine - because he likes her or anything because you know, you're the one for him. That seer is just a friend. And more importantly, because you're Sky's true love, I bet you'll be more successful than any of us would be in making him realize that Darkar is controlling him. True love conquers all, right, you guys?"

"Christine's the seer?" Bloom choked out. "But your right Stella, true love does conquer all." Bloom said, but adding the thought 'and what it doesn't a spell will.'
Layla had been right earlier if she was going to keep Sky she needed to fight for him. Using any means necessary. "So how do we get them back?"

Layla frowned at the mention of getting their friends back before replying, "That's what we're trying to figure out right now, but so far we haven't come up with much. And not to mention, we're divided as to whether or not we want to tell the teachers that we're planning on going to Shadowhaunt. I say we should tell them so we'll have backup in case something goes wrong, but Stella thinks that we shouldn't because they'll try to stop us from going." Smiling faintly, Layla finished, "I guess you can be the tie-breaker, Bloom - do we tell them or not?"

Belle was very confused by Bloom's reaction. She glanced up at Layla, hoping that after this meeting she could explain to her why Bloom reacted the way she did.

Watching Bloom, Layla too was surprised. The last thing she had expected was for her friend to be so . . . calm and collected. Layla had expected tears, and anger . . . but not this. Yes, something was definitely up.

Belle snuggled close to Layla, wondering if the bigger fairy knew what was going through her friend's head. She was a bit concerned. Tears and anger would have made more sense. This calm acceptence was a tad... unsettling.
