"I have an ulterior motive - that way, if I get tired from a lack of sleep because of the visions, then I'd just go retreat to one of the empty rooms and get some sleep," she admitted. "So, it'll be a simple makeup job. Just a little crimson on the cheeks and possibly a little on the nose, and a few little black lines at the corner of your mouth, just to make it look like a toy. I'm sure you have something that could work for a proper uniform," she said with a laugh. Hopefully, he couldn't still see the haunted look in her eyes.

Frowning slightly at Christine's mention of her visions, Sky knew instinctively that they were bothering her more than she was letting on. Reaching forward to take her hand, Sky asked softly, his tone growing more serious, "Chris, I know your visions are never fun to have, but if they're getting worse than normal, you need to let someone know. I would hope that you would know by now that you don't need to keep me in the dark about these things - that you can confide in me and that I won't think any less of you or see you as this china doll that you seem to think everyone sees you as."

"I'm just so scared, Sky. I've never had visions like these before. Not even Darkar scares me as much as Baltor does and we know nothing about Baltor," she said quietly, lowering her gaze. "I just have this feeling of utter evil when he appears in my visions." She just gave him a tear filled smile. "I guess... I guess I was afraid that if I told you, then you'd get worried or something and that you'd go off and do something stupid.."

Forcing a smile in hopes that it would soothe Christine, Sky replied lightly, "Trust me, Chris, I've had enough of doing stupid things. Let's just say that I've learned the lesson that losing my head is never a smart thing to do - in fact, I've learned it so many times that it's finally sunk in. I believe the time when I need to stay cool and start acting like the team leader that I am is long overdue. Fortunately, I've come to my senses and can recognize that acting in the heat of the moment is rarely a wise decision. So, don't worry so much about me; I have changed for the better, or so I like to believe."

"All right," she said softly, reaching over to touch his face. "I trust you." She leaned over and stole a small kiss. She needed his touch, his gentle reassurence that everything was going to be just fine because otherwise she was going to have a serious breakdown.
