I wasn't sure where to post this, as there isn't a guest or help board, so I hope this is alright here.
I'm contemplating applying for a part here, but I had a few questions before deciding. First, I was curious as to the status of Bloom. I see the character is listed as Taken in the Character list, but the character is currently under another name and has not been active for several months. Is the character still considered taken, or would she be available if someone was willing to apply for her? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

For that matter, since I did title this "a few questions", which promises more than one, are there many active canon characters in general, or is the majority comprised of mostly OCs?

there are active canon characters in addition to active OCs. And Bloom is still with us, she's just under a curse right now that has her thinking she's someone else (that would be Ariel)

Ah, okay. It just seemed odd having Winx Club without Bloom, but if she is still active, perhaps I'll look elsewhere. Thank you for your time.

we did just open up Beta Academy so if you want to be a Beta, go ahead  And we do have a lot of Canons open - we're in desperate need of a Tecna |

I considered Tecna, but I don't feel I have the technical intelligence or knack for logical thinking that is required to do her character justice.
I'm quite new to the show, so my knowledge in general as of yet is limited, so it's only the main characters that I really know much of anything about.

To be completely honest with you, and I mean no offense, I did some snooping around when I thought I might apply for a character, and was quite disturbed to see that Bloom has been seemingly replaced. Granted, I have not read many threads, but this is the impression I got.
I thought it would be interesting to bring her back into the swing of things and return her to a core member of the Winx Club.

I just got a message from our current Bloom player - and we both agreed on this, if you can give us a sample as Bloom, she has no problems handing her over to you oh, and one more thing I have a secret site that I haven't officially unveiled yet - and Bloom's definitely open there. Really? That would be wonderful! Although at the risk of being a pest, I do have a few more questions. ;D
I was hoping it would be possible to play Bloom fresh, without having to take into account what has happened to her previously in the game. I'm not suggesting a nonsensical retcon, but perhaps a case of amnesia? Or a spell gone bad? Or clones?
Does any of that sound plausible?

well, ::laughing:: Bloom does have amnesia due to a spell gone bad and we are working on getting her unmermaid-ified.
But I don't see too much of a problem. ::pokes Tash:: You're the original Bloom, what say you?

So much for staying hidden XD, but the spell that turns Bloom back into a human could make her forget everything that has happened. About the only thing that I can't see going back to the way it was is Bloom and Sky. But Bloom can still go after Sky. and don't poked me.  |

That would be great! So would I need to wait for someone to cast this spell, or could I begin with a post where she is waking up, dazed and confused, afterwards? All pending approval, of course. I'm working on something as we speak to show better what I have intended.

Neh, start with her waking afterwards. It's easier and we don't know how we are going about breaking it anyways.

you could begin with her waking up, dazed and confused - I see no problem with that (and XD I probably should have said so in the beginning, I'm the admin in one of my other accounts)

This is what I managed to throw together. btw, just how far am I allowed to reset her?
Sample post:
There were only subtle sounds around her, the chirping of crickets and the rustling of leaves, but the thing that caused her to awake with a start was cold chill that ran through her body. Her blue eyes opening wide, she sat up and looked around in fear. She was in the middle of a clearing surrounded by trees; her long red hair was tangled and wet, and her nude body was damp and shivering. Hearing a particularly loud rustle from a bush to her left, she let out a sharp yelp and scrambled away in the opposite direction. As her back hit a large tree she cried out again before drawing her knees up to her chest in an attempt to cover herself and make herself as small as possible.
Where was this place? Why was she here? Worst of all... why didn’t she remember anything?
Cuddling back against the tree as if it would protect her from all that would harm her, or as if it had the answers she sought, she searched the darkness desperately for anything recognizable.
“Somebody... anybody... help me,” she whispered, not daring to raise her voice in the near silence.
