: "I hope so. I worry about him," she said quietly. "He tries to do so much and he is injured already so I wish he wouldn't do much because I don't want injury to worsen."

Palladium nodded, "Your stance is understandable, and you have every right to worry, but perhaps you shouldn't. It has been my experience that worrying only breeds even more negative thoughts and it's enough to make a person sick. Literally. And I think you will agree with me that Flora needs you to be strong for her right now, hmm?"

: "Yes, I suppose you're right," she said quietly. She sighed quietly. "I just hope Rowen's okay. And I hope he hasn't done anything foolish, like getting he and his childhood friend drunk. I can just see them doing that." OOC: XD have I given you ideas yet?

Palladium smiled kindly. "I can see that you miss your husband a great deal." Sympathetically, he added as he guided Wysteria toward the dining room, "It must be quite difficult to be away from him; I wonder, does he travel much or is this just a one time occasion?"

: "He's a painter," Wysteria said quietly. "But before we were married, he was a hero. He was badly wounded in a battle, some creature damaged his left arm so badly that he can't use it anymore." Her voice faltered. "I know he misses being a warrior, even though he wasn't trained at Red Fountain."

"Yes, it can be quite difficult to watch a person you love struggle through hardships," Palladium replied quietly. "When my father fell ill when I was only a boy of fourteen, I thought that I would die of sorrow, so painful was it to watch him become more and more ill. And then when he began to show signs of recovery, my mother and I were ecstatic, over the moon with. That is, until we learned that he was losing his vision. It always felt as though we could never win." Palladium shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts, "My point is, often when we have to watch our loved ones suffer, we take it upon ourselves to suffer with them when that is really the last thing they want. I know that is true of my father, and perhaps, it is true of your husband as well."

: "I try to be supportive, I really do. I just worry about him and I worry about Flora. But then, sometimes I think that's the mother's role. To worry about her loved ones." She sighed quietly.

Palladium smiled wistfully. "Perhaps you are right as my mother was the same way. As much as she already had on her plate with my father's illness, she refused to let my sister and me give up our normal lives, something I will always be grateful to her for." Pausing for a moment, Palladium then added apologetically, "But forgive me if I pried too much; I really should stick to giving advice on subjects I have an understanding of and I am afraid that proper parenting is not one of them."

: "It's okay. Talking made me feel better," Wysteria said quietly. "Although, it is a bit odd that we haven't heard anything from Flora yet. I know she's a sound sleeper but this takes the cake."

"If you wish to go check on her, please do," Palladium replied. Laughing, he added, poking fun at himself, "It is not as though you will miss anything fantastically entertaining by not watching me cook as I am neither horribly clumsy nor am I superbly talented."

Entering the room, Cora laughed lightly, having overhead the latter part of their conversation. "Mrs. Gallowglass, you should not to listen to Lenwë - you see, he is quite modest and he wouldn't dream of saying anything that could be misconstrued as egotistical. As it goes, I will just have to do the bragging for him because he happens to be a wonderful cook."

"Men who can cook are a rare find. My husband is pretty much forbidden from cooking," Wysteria said, laughing softly. "He seems to blow the kitchen up. But then again, I don't know many soldiers who can cook."
