Yeah I could. I choose C.T. then. Though, I'd rather be in all three. =D

Elly, please read this following essay before you apply for your character: www.subreality.com/marysue/explain.htmRight now you're in danger of having a Mary Sue, that is, a character that is far too unrealistically "perfect" because she can do and has everything. Notice that every character (even Bloom, arguably) has their limits in abilities and character traits. Choose ONE school. Choose only a FEW personality bonuses. But most importantly, CREATE SOME FLAWS that make her interesting and likeable.

Trust me, my character has her flaws. They are sort of a mix between mine and my friends. =/

Well, you need to limit her personality to that of one person. For example, no way can she be a witch AND a fairy. There are certain rules to the canon of Winx mythos, and no one can bend those rules.

agreed, and technically, Stormy's the witch of the elements, since her powers are entirely weather based. Unless you mean she's the witch in charge of all the elements in the periodic table.. Which would be quite odd. But that's neither here nor there. Further, according to all the Winx episodes we've seen - there's been no mention of a Rainbow dragon. Care to explain how that dragon's going to fit into this universe?

I don't even know why the witch and fairy part is in there. I must've copied it from another site I'm on and copied it on this one by accident. When I said elements....I meant water, fire, earth, air, and spirit.

Darling no one in any realm can master all five of the elements they are to confrountational with eath other. Besidese Bloom has the Fire and I have Water. All I am asking is that you try and keep it as real as possilbe. I have studied the elements and you can use all five but can not master all five. your personal body will not let you.
Ps: soul should actually be metal. Soul is not one of the origainl five elements.

Elly, like most everyone else has said, your character seems to be veering into Mary-Sue territory. It's easy to fall into, so you just have to be careful - as Tashii pointed out, it's not realistic for one character to control all those elements (although, I'm not sure if you were really intending to use all the elements or if you were just listing them because you are undecided as to which one your character should have). But as for "repeat powers" (e.g. whether it would be "appropriate" for your character to be fire-based or so forth) I don't think you should worry about that despite what Tashii said. (psst, Tashii - remember that your character isn't the only one that has water-based powers - have you forgotten Layla? )

Be in all three schools? I couldn't survive!
I'm with Tashii and Layla. But like Layla said, there's nothing wrong with "repeat powers." But nobody can have like, five different ones. As for the Mary Sue-ness, I'm in agreement with the others. Not because we're evil, but because well....most of us are familar with the world of fanfiction and Mary Sue's are a form of look-at-me-I'm-better-than-[insert canon characters], etc. Don't worry too much about it, I wrote quite the Sue at 11 and was able to change her while keeping defining traits. (She had nothing whatsoever to do with Winx.)
Ok, jah. That's my two bits. You can throw them away if you want, but you don't know what they're good for.

yep yep sorry. I know I pharsed that one wrong. I guess what I ment is that we all have different powers even if they are based off the same element. Even in the element we don't have total control of all of it. It may seem like we do but we don't.
Mine is not defined yet that is just my power sorce. And Bloom is the Dragon Fire, so based off one element. But very specified.

Synchronization (copy/duplicate powers) Thought Projection (making thoughts become real) Shapeshifting/Transmogrification
Though not elementally based, they are powers. It still seems Mary Sue-ish....doesn't it?

Yes, because your powers are very random. Just like genetics all tie in together and have a common base, your powers need to have something in common with themselves as well.
For example, I don't think there is a fairy that has animal-based powers. You can play up that third choice of yours and develop on that one key trait.
And if you want to develop some flaws based on that power, your character can be very wild and animalistic, since she tends to take on characterstics of whatever animal she is bonded with.

It still seems Mary Sue-ish....doesn't it? Darcy can duplicate herself. Layla is a shapeshifter of objects via water. And Fairy of Transfiguration is taken by me. Plus, you can't have like six or so random and...powerful...powers. Sorry.

The key to avoiding Mary-Sue is simplicity. And also, not using the most obvious things. Elements are one of the most used traits in the world. It can be used, but it's just not as exciting. And remember, working out your char is the best way to go. That way, you'll see that your char seems more realistic.
