: "Although, if you listen to Melisande, it's all my fault," he said blandly. "But enough about Melisande. Now, what have you been up to?"

"I teach here and when I have time off, I go hunting for the more exotic flora and fauna and anything else I could do to keep missing you, not that I succeded." She admitted

: "Well, I'm not leaving your side again. That is, unless you want me to. I'll abide by your decision." He gently stroke her hair, not wanting to leave his beloved's side.

"No I want us to be together, I realize now the only way we can really be safe is to stop Ravenwaves. If your willing to wait till the end of the school year we can go home together." Mali quietly suggested, happier then she had been in a very long time.

: Jules nodded. "For you, I'd wait a lifetime," he said softly. He groaned softly when he heard the doorknob turn. "I do think we're about to get company," he said, sounding a smidge irritated.

"Welcome to a life of a teacher, it was a pleasant distraction." Mali quietly said with a smile. Sliding off Jules lap, Mali glanced at the clock and couldn't believe how much time had actually passed. Turning to the door to see...

Jadis peeked her head in, looking rather scared and nerviouse at the same time. It had been hard for her, a witch, to make her way to fairy territory. But she heard that Tash's mother was here, and she thought that she might be the best person to tell about what was going on. "he.. hello?"

"Can I help you?" Mali asked looking at the person peaking around the door. Mali didn't recognize the girl standing there but did recognize the look of nervousness she saw. "Come on in."

She stepped in and closed the door. Looking around the room, her eyes settled on an empty space behind everyone. "Your Tash's mother.. I must tell you this, it is of great importance"

"Yes, I'm her mother. Come sit down." Mali guestured as she sat down beside Jules. What on earth could this be about, Mali prayed it wasn't any worse then what had already happened to her daughter. Once Jadis was seated, Mali silently waited for Jadis to tell her story.

Taking a deep breath, Jadis kept her eyes down as if looking at either of them would break her nerve. "I know exactly what happened to Tash. But.. It's worse. Lord Psi... Lord Psi forced me to steal a book from Cloud Tower.. " Closing her eyes for a moment she opened them again. "I'm a student there. But the book he stole.. The book of Alazraic. I know he used it to summon the Daemons. Knowing Lord Psi, he would have easily given his soul for their power, and with it.. " She stopped "I just know, no good will come of this. He has the powers of those that created the darkness."

Subconsciously reaching out to Jules, Mali blinked trying to make sense of what she was being told. "I know this will sound cold but at the moment my first priority is my daughter. Since I know very little of what happened to her would you please tell me what you know. All I know is she thinks she grew up on Muna and has returned home." Mali said, not sure what to make of what this student had told her.

: Jules tightened his grip on Mali's hand, trying to make heads or tails of this. All he knew - was that he really, really, really wanted to kick someone's ass.

Jadis finally looked at them "An ancient spell from my planet, one that not even the darkest of wizards will dare use. The basis of the spell is to basically change one's memories to fit the others will, doing such could change a persons personality, thoughts, loves, everything. Lord Psi seems to have not changed much with Tash, keeping her original personality, likes, dislikes, that sort of thing. But what makes me wonder is how he got the power in the first place to do such a spell. Only one person on my planet has ever been able to do the spell, and it eventually killed him because of the energy needed to keep it going" Jadis looked down again. "It takes the casters energy and power to keep the spell going. The wizard who created the spell, died one night only a year or so after casting the spell on the daughter of an old king. Should anything happen to the caster though, the spell will most likely end, and the one it was cast on, will remember what was stolen"

"From what you told us about the book I don't think where he got the power to begin with is important now. But what did you mean by should anything happen to the spell caster?" Mali asked not wanting to know why someone would feel the need to change someone's memories.
