Flora sank down in her chair, exhaustion writ clear across her features. She still wasn't having a good night's sleep - even after her friends had come back from Shadowhaunt in one piece and unharmed. Chatta was off flitting about, getting gossip most likely. And she got bonded to Chatta how? Amore seemed to be more her type - what with the flower attack. She shrugged and picked up a cup of tea.
She held it to her lips, not quite sipping it yet when one of the other Winx Club members plopped down in the chair next to her - nearly bumping her elbow, which would have made her dump the tea on her. Not the best way to start the morning.
Her eyes drifted from Professor Avalon (the current subject of everyone's fascination) to the subject of her first school girl crush - Professor Palladium. She blushed to the roots of her hair when she saw his gaze catch hers and she quickly, yet demurely looked away. She'd only hope that none of the other girls saw that - she'd never live it down, especially since she was supposedly reported to have a crush on Professor Saladin's grandson, Helia. Oi, what a mess.

Tecna wasn't the least bit surprised to see Flora being her unassuming self in the center of the dining hall. Try as she may, Flora couldn't not draw attention to herself. She was exotic, lovely, and overall romantic.
Tecna rationalized all sentiments of envy through logic. Certianly Flora was lovely, enigmatic, and genteel. But what she excelled in beauty and charm was often hindered by overwhelming insecurity and doubt, not to mention unrestrainable anxiety when the mood struck her. She was just too empathetic sometimes, and it resulted in the plant fairy making unnecessary sacrifices in the long run.
...but why was she going about psycho-analyzing her friend? She wasn't a laboratory specimin, nor a class project.
She took great care to avoid Flora's elbow before seating herself next to her. Tecna avoided eye-contact with Flora as she commented on her quite obvious blush. "Your facial capillaries are fully open, you know." Tecna had nothing to eat yet--who had time to eat when there were books to be read and papers to be typed?

It took Flora a full minute to process just what Tecna said. As usual Tecna was using two dollar words when a buck fifty word could have worked. "O-oh," she said, struggling to fight her blush. "It's just... he didn't look like that last year," she said, still blushing, her gaze still demurely looking away from Professor Palladium.
Oh, this was going to be a fun year. Now if she could only stop blushing when either Helia or Professor Palladium were in the room.

Tecna turned her head to look in the direction of Flora's previous gaze. Her eyebrows rose for a moment, but quickly returned to their usual soft expression. "Mmn. I wonder who he is trying to impress?"
Tecna looked back to her books, and she couldn't help but smile to herself, quite proud that she was able to refrain from such insignificant distractions. She nearly made that mistake last year with one of the Red Fountain students. She wasn't about to get herself into another one of those messes.

"So, how are things between you and Timmy?" Flora asked, neatly turning the topic of conversation away from her, her blushing, and Professor Palladium. Besides, it was only fair that Tecna suffered - if she could - some form of embarrassment.
Her gaze shifted back to Professor Palladium and once again his gaze met and held hers before she had to once again look away. At this rate, she'd be as red as those fire trucks Bloom spoke about.

Tecna's eyebrow twitched, and the lead on her mechanical pencil snapped immediately thereafter. Her voice suddenly went cold. "Timmy who?"

"The redheaded specialist that you worked with last year," Flora pointed out. "Or are we pretending he doesn't exist because the whole idea of having a crush on him is to quote you not logical?"
It was a rare occurrance to see Tecna that flustered - even if she hid it behind a wall of ice. Flora knew she shouldn't be enjoying Tecna's discomfort but she was pretty sure Tecna had thought her own discomfort had been slightly amusing.

"Oh." Tecna's voice could only be described as flat. Like, flatline dead flat. Tecna looked up, as though contemplating her answer. "...I really haven't put much thought to it..." Pause. "Okay, that's enough thought for me." She went back to concentrating on her schoolwork. Hopefully Flora would get the hint. Unlike the other girls in the Winx Club, she wasn't hung up over a guy--or guys--all during break.

Flora was quick to pick up on Tecna's hint. Unlike the other girls, she didn't like to gossip about boys. She always got flustered. "So, how was summer for you? I apologize for not keeping in contact as much as I liked but I was taking a few courses during the summer and homework was a near constant."

Musa was sleepy, and a bit confused. She had just woke up, after a not so good night of sleep. She had some nightmares. Confusing nightmares, about her friends, and Riven, and her family, that she couldn't understand well.
She entered in the room, and silently sat on her chair near Flora and Tecna, and looked at her faces. Even though she was all that sleepy, and usually people can't think well when they are sleepy, was pretty much easy to tell that something was going on.
''Good morning, girls!''Said Musa, happily, waving, but still wondering why Flora was looking as if she had blushed, and what she and Tecna were talking about.
OOC:Now I just remembered the main reason I quit from my other RPGS. I was too worried about what to post. Seriously, I have to be inspired in order to post, or I post... Crappy posts. And hope you are better today, Flora. Ahen...

Tecna smiled slightly at this, not looking up but staring warmly at her books, "Well, for such a noble cause, I suppose all can be forgiven." Of course she joked. In all honesty, she was so busy caught up in her own duties, she had barely noticed the summer whiz by, without so much as a word to or from any of the girls.
Tecna both admired and loathed Musa's natural perkiness this early in the morning. "Good morning Musa..." Tecna still didn't look up from her schoolwork. The best way to wake up her brain was with a good brain teaser.

OOC: so far so good with my day. And you're doing fine "Morning, Musa," Flora said, grateful for the distraction. It meant she had to pay attention to the girls and not to the hot professor who was sitting in Professor Palladium's seat. ....Did she just think he was hot? Oh, dear.

Tecna gave an internal sigh as she saw Flora flushing over Professor Palladium again. Poor thing. So mature on the surface, yet so easily distracted by miniscule things. Was it something in the cafeteria food? Tecna made a mental note to pack her own lunches from this day forward.

''Girls?'' Musa asked slowly. ''Are you fine? And why you look so... Distracted Flora?'' Flora looked a bit distracted, but maybe, or maybe even probably, Musa was just imagining things. Why not ask, anyways?

"Because she is distracted." Tecna stated matter-of-factly before Flora could come up with a defense.
