Kevyn blew him a kiss. "Wuv you Rashid." she teased in a baby talk voice.

[quinn]

"Stop teasing the help." Quinn reprimanded lightly, patting Kevyn's head. Knowing that she hated it.

Rashid shook his head to himself as he headed up stairs with the bags. Somehow he thought his life was about to get a lot more complicated, as if Mali's children weren't enough to deal with.

"I'll take your word for it," Christine said, looking at Rashid and suddenly feeling very fragile.

[quinn]

Donovan chuckled, having heard the whole conversation from his study. "I know he can be intimidating but Rashid has been a loyal servant and good friend for many many years. There is no need to be frightened of him." He reassured his guests.

"If you have any doubts just get Quinn to show you his back and tell the story behind it." He added, eyes teasing.

[quinn]

"Grandpa." Quinn rolled his eyes at the older mans teasing.

[kevyn]

Kevyn snickered.

[Howl Pendragon]

"I have to admit that has me quite intrigued," Howl said, slipping his coat off and draping it over Christine's shoulders after she started to shiver. He was quite interested to see how her boyfriend would react.

[kaelin]

"Which? Quinn's back or seeing Rashid like a big ol' teddy bear?" Kaelin asked, knowing that had any of them really pissed off Rashid not even Rashid's respect for Donovan would have kept them safe.

[Howl Pendragon]

"Ah, I thought the scars were on the other man's back. I was a bit confused," Howl confessed, watching with curiosity at the pulsing vein.

[quinn]

Quinn shrugged, "You have figured ot out when we went to the swimming hole." His scares didn't bother him as much as they did other people, so he'd learned early on to keep covered. But the water was the one place he refused to wear a shirt, it just felt too weird.

Howl glanced over at Quinn. "Is it just me or does lover boy seem a bit miffed that I draped my coat over the princess's shoulders since she looked a bit chilly?" he asked in very much a stage whisper.

"No fights." Quinn told Sky, smiling, who indeed did not look happy.

"Me? Fight? I wouldn't dream of it," Howl said, all the while smiling his charming grin. Honestly, he was a wizard, and that was just a young boy pretending to be a man. He had years of experience on him.

Christine, for her part, just blinked when Howl draped his coat over her shoulders. She mouthed a small thank you and nestled down into the warmth of the coat. He had been right - she was a bit chilly.

By that time Rashid had returned, he signed to Quinn.

Quinn nodded back, "Thanks Rashid," he said outloud for the benefit of their guests, before turning back to the group. "Looks like your rooms are ready. Want to settle in now or would you rather a quick tour of town?" He asked everyone.
