Sky stared at Christine for a moment more before turning to Demeter. Raising an eyebrow, he questioned, "Now what? Do we just let her . . . sleep? If that's even what she's doing. It's difficult to tell." Holding a hand up, Sky muttered, "And don't even suggest that I try to wake her up. It didn't work last time and I have no desire for a repeat."

"No let her sleep, she is still in her day without a vision. I don't want to kill her yet. Prince you are welcome to help when such a time happens." Darkar offered. "And yes, If you wish to pay a visit to your old school mates. Then by all means enjoy yourself. How ever that may be."

Demeter looked at Sky. "Maybe we should change your name. Sky sounds perfect for a prince of light. What do you think, Master?" she asked, glancing up at Darkar.

"My name is fine," Sky replied in blatant annoyance. "Besides, I don't have time to stand around for pansy name-changing ceremonies: I have a Codex to get my hands on, as you have obviously forgotten. So step aside, so I can do my job!" With that Sky pushed past Demeter as he muttered, "I am going to Red Fountain; I'll be back in no time at all - and I won't be returning empty-handed."

Demeter glanced up at Darkar. "Should we still change his name anyway? Sky's a name for a hero of light. He's a champion of darkness. Besides, Sky sounds a bit wimpy."

Christine stirred as she felt a vision start to form. She sat up slowly, her eyes closed. A single tear streaked down her cheek as she witnessed Sky's battle with their friends and teammates. She raised her head and opened her eyes, her gaze clear. "You won I take it," she said quietly, looking up at the figure approaching Darkar's throne. "Any dead?"

"You're the seer," Sky replied bluntly as he stepped out of the shadows. "You tell me." Not waiting for a response from her, Sky continued, "But no, no deaths. It was lucky for them - and especially that nuisance Riven - that I had a more important agenda to pursue than attacking them. You see, Christine, when it comes down to it, I am not a cruel man - I am just . . . determined. I know what I want, and I will do anything to make sure I get. So as long as one doesn't stand in my way, one will not get hurt. Unfortunately for Riven, he stood in my way and I just had to teach him a lesson. I was nice enough to not kill him with his own sword - but I think I may have taken something much more precious from him: his vitality. Yes, that's right, Christine, darling; I absorbed the majority of his strength, meaning that right now, Riven is as harmless as a newborn kitten. Lovely image, isn't it?"

"You monster! Riven was our friend! Our teammate! How could you do that to him! He trusted you!" she cried, struggling to stand. She managed to stand and shakily walked over to him. She raised her hand and brought it down, dragging her nails across his face.

Sky swore angrily under his breath as he wrenched Christine's hand away from his face. "Why you little ingrate! Oh you should be thanking your lucky stars that Darkar needs you because otherwise I would be flinging you across the room at this very moment!"

"This kitten has claws. You don't harm my friends and think I'm going to sit back and let you," she hissed, smiling at the drops of blood forming on his face from where her nails had raked his face. "Poor princeling - so vain."

"Tell me," Demeter said. "Do you two ever get along?" Once again, she was getting the urge to cast a spell that would get those two to stop fighting. She had to laugh quietly to herself - light and dark represented by two strong-willed individuals. Now if only they could get those two to combine...

"That's up to him," Christine said. Her eyes closed part way and she found herself silently remniniscing about her relationship with Sky. That mess. She felt guilty for dragging her nails across his face - but not guilty to enough to apologize.
"I want the magic of love again - The look of longing in his eyes - All the wonder and surprise - Of knowing that the best is yet to come - I need the magic of love again - Give me a magic wand to wave - Tell me the magic words to say - To bring back the magic of love - No illusions - He's a man who has many dreams - But it's so confusing - To be always in between - I want the magic of love again - That subtle sourcery of the heart - The fire his smile used to start - That makes me feel I'll never get enough - Give me a magic wand to wave - Repeat the miracle that gave us - The wonderful magic of love..." she sang softly, her voice pure.

Glancing over at Demeter, Sky replied defensively, "I try to get along with her, but she refuses to cooperate. I don't see what else I can do as I have already been quite friendly in offering her the ultimate gift of absolute power. And I must say that the only time when I am not friendly is when she goads me - and when she does that, I have no choice but to retaliate."

Christine bit back the urge to say "you started it" - she hadn't done that since she was a child. "You're about as friendly as a newborn baby snake," she said blandly. She glanced over at him out of the corner of her eye, trying to see if he was still bleeding from her handiwork.

Sky rolled his eyes as he turned back to Demeter and continued, "But since you so despise the sound of our bickering, I, for the time being, will ignore her. Instead, let us speak of more important matters - like what we shall do next in regards to the other Codexes. Which one should we locate next? Cloud Tower's, perhaps? And then Alfea . . . and last, the Pixie Village. The pixies' Codex will be the most difficult to locate because their village is hidden somewhere deep in the forest, but, correct me if I'm wrong, Demeter, a certain friend of yours, Layla, might have some useful information for us." Turning to Christine, Sky laughed as he asked, "You remember Layla, don't you? She's the girl you met at the dance who was having a big, loud fight with your precious prince. And if I remember correctly, she's on very good terms with the pixies. That's certainly something to ponder."
