Christine finally composed herself, long enough to give a faint laugh. "Even when you have all the Codex, you'll still need me," she returned, feeling a bit smug. "I know how the portal is to open."

"That is enough." Darkar firmly stated. "My dear seer, Yes I have use for you but I don't need you." Darkar said, while pondering how much more he wanted to reveal to her. "And as for that Layla and her gift. Will it be enough against Demeter's?" Darkar deliberately taunted Christine.

"Yes," Christine said simply. "Yes it is." She smiled to herself, knowing exactly what Layla had was just as powerful. Plus, Layla had the other Winx girls to do a powerful spell with. Hopefully, they'd master it. Hopefully. The spell was powerful. A faint whisp of a vision appeared and she drew her head back, a small pleased smile gracing her lips. Yes, that spell was indeed powerful.
She'd keep the knowledge of how to open the portal a secret - for as long as she could. Dragonfire, Shadowfire? Why couldn't life be normal? At least the whole thing didn't require her and Sky being the light and dark. Okay, villian could probably read her mind so shutting up now. Well, probably could read parts of it. She hoped.

"Not to argue with you, Master," Demeter said quietly. "But wouldn't it be wise to keep her, after all, if Sky's," she made a face at the name, "light side were to find out she were hurt in any fashion, he might be able to pull free of your control. If my memory serves, the gossip papers list them as husband and wife."

"Point taken, my pet." Darkar acknowledged what she said. "I see you do have the potential to be needed." Darkar said in Christine direction. "Simply for curiosity, when did you and our dark prince become one?" Darkar inquired, wondering if he could use this against her.

Christine flushed at the question. That was a good question - she didn't remember. "I think I might have been drunk at the time because I don't remember," she admitted. "But it couldn't have been that long ago. Possibly a month."

Demeter gave Darkar a look. "Are you planning something involves their marriage?" she asked. "Provided that the gossip papers were accurate." She grinned at the thought. "It could make things interesting even if they weren't. Light and dark combining could make things interesting."

Christine shot Sky a look, indicating that he should keep his mouth shut. The last thing she wanted was him to say something about the gossip that could lead his "master" into doing something that they'd both regret.

"It really does not matter if it is true or not. Two-thirds of the people that read it will believe it and that is more than enough." Darkar responded to Demeter before asking Christine. "You were married a month ago and you can not remember it? But yet you will subject yourself to me to protect him. So if you love your prince so much why did they have to get you drunk for you to wed?" If he could not make her have visions then he could at least gain some other information.

"Most likely we eloped," Christine said bluntly. "Our families don't exactly get along. We probably got drunk at some point during the celebration, hence our lack of remembering the wedding." Another look shot in Sky's direction, indicating that he should keep his mouth shut.

"One would think that you would still remember some part of your wedding. Unless your parents gave you an arranged marriage and let the gossip be the ones to tell you." Darkar chuckled at that idea. "So Prince, do you remember any of the wedding night?"

Christine's cheeks took on a rich shade of crimson. Darkar didn't ask what she thought he asked, did he? She hoped Sky would answer that he didn't remember - because any other answer would scare her.

"Master, if you don't mind me asking, but why is it important if he remembers his wedding night?" Demeter asked, confusion writ clear across her features. That was a rather interesting question - and one that probably wasn't supposed to be asked in polite company.

Darkar watched the color of Christine's cheeks finding it highly amusing. "It's not important Demeter." Darkar absently replied. Acknowledging Sky's appearence, "Did you enjoy pitting your new ruthlessness against your old team mates?"

That confused Demeter - if it wasn't important, why did he ask? Well, she'd find out later, she supposed and just settled down to listen to Sky and Darkar discuss the mission. Perhaps, she'd find it far more entertaining. She had to admit - the sparks that flew between the dark prince and the seer were far more brilliant compared to the sparks that had been between the noble prince of light and the Dragonfire chit, but that was her opinion.
