Pausing for a moment, Sky then began, "The beast was angered that someone had dared to trespass into his castle. It had been years since anyone from the outside had entered those walls and that was the way he preferred it. He knew that if one person entered, soon more would come and they would either hunt him down and kill him or they would capture him to put on display for people to come gawk at. Frankly, he wasn't sure which possibility was worse. All that he knew was that he had to avoid being seen. Now then, as the girl called out to him, her voice shaking terribly, the beast roared, careful to remain in the shadows, 'Get out! Get out! This is my home - you have no right to be here!' But then, in the midst of his rage, the beast realized that if the girl left the castle, she would surely tell the townspeople what she had seen and then it would only be a matter of time before they came after him. Knowing that he must prevent this from happening at all costs, the beast stepped out of the shadows as he said in an icy tone of voice, 'I changed my mind; you cannot leave. It would be too dangerous for me. You would expose me . . . no . . . you must stay here. You must be my prisoner . . . forever.'"

Christine's blue eyes widened for a moment at Sky's voice. Whooo, she had forgotten what his voice sounded like when he was angry. She lowered her gaze like the girl would have. "If that is your will, ma bĂȘte, then I will stay here as your prisoner," the girl said quietly. She could not bring herself to look upon the face of the beast lest she scream in terror," Christine said. "The girl was trying to be brave, but she was in reality terrified beyond measure."
Christine paused and looked up at Sky, holding his gaze. "But if I must stay", said the girl. "Then you must show yourself. Show me what the people fear. Show me the monster that the village has made you out to be"," Christine said, almost boldly, as if *she* was the girl.

Ba Nee leaned forward waiting to see what Christine's friend would do, she had to admit he was pretty good at this story telling stuff.
