"Because her role plays opposite Brandon," Christine answered. "I'm still trying to figure out the casting. But, I have a friend, he gradutated a few years ahead of us. He said he'd be able to help fix any problems with the play. And he said he might be able to craft a stronger stage presence for Isabeau." "Oh, bother," Stella said with a dismissive wave of her hand. "You still think I'm angry about that? Nonsense." Rubbing her hands together, Stella hopped up onto the auditorium's stage and said with a perky flip of her hair, "I'm quite ready to work."

Christine's eyes crinkled as she smiled. "I talked with the director the other day, he said he was going to give Isabeau a small romantic subplot, which should make you happy because the male character for the subplot is played by your boyfriend. I sort of hinted that he should write a scene or three for you."
