A What?

[Chris Strongheart]

"You know, I honestly have no idea. I had no idea you were family until my father told me during a trip home," she said quietly. "But I never really had family that I liked besides my mother's side, so this is cool."

[tashii]

"How long have you known? Better question does Kae know?" Tash asked, hugging her knees. Was she the last person to know that her family was bigger then just the three of them. Her mother had much explaining to do about this. Her curiosity getting the better of her, "What's he like?" Tash asked referring to her father, her first sign of interest in who he was.

[Chris Strongheart]

"Daddy just told me the last time I was home, which was about a week ago. So, roughly a week and some change?" she ventured. "As for what he's like... Well... He's kind of bitter, but not about him not being with your mom. He's in a wheelchair."

[tashii]

"Do you know why he's in the chair?" she tentatively asked, from past experience one was only bitter about something if they had lost something.

[Chris Strongheart]

"He can't walk. He was injured in a battle years ago, trying to take back my father's kingdom. He was my father's most trusted knight, but more importantly, he was, is, my father's best friend."

[tashii]

"Trying to? Please tell me I have not managed to get myself involved with two kingdoms fighting wars." There were more questions she wanted to ask about his injuries but Christine wouldn't know most of what she was curious about.

[Chris Strongheart]

"It happened a long time ago. Father's kingdom isn't in danger anymore," she said softly, mentally thinking about what would happen once she finished at Red Fountain. "What else do you want to know?"

[tashii]

"There's lots I want to know but right now I think I need to absorb what I have learned. I have one more question, what happens when we finish school?" Tash had every intention of finishing school, once she found Psi and found out exactly what the hell he did to her.

[Chris Strongheart]

"I don't know about you and the one who's supposed to be my "Curlycrown", the second lady in waiting, but I do know I'm expected to go home to my father's realm and get ready to take over. I'm so overjoyed," she said blandly.

[tashii]

Tash had to giggle at that. "Thanks, for everthing Chris. I have two favors to ask of you." she asked quietly, she really wasn't fond of asking for favors.

[Chris Strongheart]

"Ask, and I shall try to grant them," she said softly, smiling a tiny bit. Hopefully, whatever Tash asked of her, she would be able to grant easily.

"The first and probably the hardest is after I manage to track down Psi and find out exactly what he did to me that day. I'm assuming that rules among the elite are the same every where you go, help me find a way to annul my marriage." Tash said continuing with the other request before Chris say anything about that one. "The second, don't tell them I'm back until I understand this a little more, I don't want to hurt them because I haven't gone to see them first, and come with me when I do go back."

[Chris Strongheart]

Christine gave Tash an amused smile. "Girl, you are in luck. I'm taking an ethics and law class this term. I'll let you know what I can come up with. Of course, that might be a smidge easier then trying to see if the purity of blood marriage law for Eraklyon is a) legal and b) ethical." She leaned against her bed. "And if you are sure, then I won't tell any of the others. You have my word as your friend."

"Thank you. I know they are going to be furious at me for not telling them as soon as I remembered but I need to have some sort of an understanding over what happened before I try and explain it in any depth." Tash said before changing the subject, "How are your studies into the Eraklyon laws going anyways?"

[Chris Strongheart]

"I have the intense desire to strangle each and every member of that old fogie society," she said softly, laughing. "Because quite honestly, it's the most idiotic concept ever. I feel like I'm in a damn Harry Potter novel when I read that only people with impeccable bloodlines can marry each other. You know, I feel like calling the leader of the parliment Voldemort." Her eyes crinkled as she smiled. Of course, there was other part of her research into Eraklyon matters - such as finding a cure to Sky's curse.
