Nodding, Palladium replied, "Of course, it will be fine; after all, we Athryellians enjoy company and we are hospitable people." Laughing, he added, "And we always make too much food, so extra mouths are welcome." Pausing for a moment, he clarified, "By 'we,' I mean Cora's family and mine. The Tselioses and Palladiums are extremely close and so we always dine together."

: Wysteria scooped Flora up and carried the nearly sleepy child. She could tell Flora was getting tired. "I just hope my daughter can stay awake to have dinner with your families."

"If she does fall asleep, it is no trouble; we will simply find a bed to put her in while we eat," Palladium replied simply. "It is a bit of a walk, however, but it will be worth it - Cora's mother makes the most refreshing rose water drink."
