The second that Tash was startled to find Ris able to push his emotions to her purposely was all it took for them to get past her shields. Instantly knowing what he was feeling, Tash was at a loss and she did about the only thing she could. "You might think that now but I'm not what you want. I can't be what you need."

Eris-an just drew her into a kiss for an answer. Just a gentle kiss, nothing too forceful, giving her the option to pull away if she wanted. But at the same time all his own sheilds dropped, letting himself open to her.
As soon as their lips touched Eris-an found himself hoping that he hadn't read her defenses wrong, but quickly decided that even if he had then it was well worth the sore cheek that was sure to follow.

"Ris," Tash whispered as she broke the kiss off and leaned back slightly not completely pulling out of his hold. "This isn't a good idea."

"Yes it is." Eris-an argued, hugging Tash to him.

"No, it's not." Tash managed a little more firmly this time. "Not only is being around me likely to hurt you; we're from vastly different worlds."

"I am not some fragile piece of clay Tash." Eris-an said firmly, starting to get angry with Tash's insistance that he'd get hurt. "I am not likly to break and what does being from different worlds have anything to do with this?"

"You don't have to be a fragile piece of clay to get hurt around me. The list I could give you is longer then I am tall of people who got hurt because of me." Tash responded knowing he was getting more then a little irritated at her. And a small part of Tash was hoping he'd see what she was getting and do what she wanted.
"As for the different worlds, that's just it. There is nothing similar about us; Hell, your a sucking prince. Me, I'm just an outsider, the strange off worlder who's intruding where she doesn't belong." Tash responded, pretty sure she was about to get herself into some trouble with that one, Ris had been around Tash and Chris often enough to know what Tash normally said to the whole royalty thing but Tash had to find someway to prove it wouldn't work.

"So that is your argument? That I am a Prince and you a Pauper?" Eris-an said, frustrated. "Do you really think so little of yourself? I am not saying I want you for my wife." he added, completely dropping the 'people to get hurt' argument.

"By the gods, I'm not getting at that but more of since your no longer engaged to Kevyn what about your duty to provide a heir and a spare. If for some strange reason I started dating you, are you really going to be looking for someone who would fit the mold of future queen?"

"You are certianly not making this easy." Eris-an muttered, "Besides I am the heir. There is no rush for me to anything until my father either dies or retires. And knowing him he is not likely to retire for a very long time yet." He looked Tash in the eye. "Look all I'm saying is can we at least give it a chance? If it gets that serious.... well we can deal with it then, but for now can we just try and see if it will work? Even if it is just for a short time."

Tash opened her mouth to retort but she didn't have an arguement to that, he was right. "So your suggesting a fling of sorts to get each other out of our systems." Tash said, reluctanly admitting that Ris had more of an effect on her then she liked.

"If that is how you want to put it." Eris-an smiled, "Then yes."
Just then Oreo suddenly lost all facination with his butterfly and found it again with Eris-an's hair. Well his hair tie in particular... sneaking up he nipped and pulled, successfully snapping it loose, running off with the treasured peice of material.
"Hey!" Eris-an yiped, reaching back to grab his now loosening hair, "Why you..." he stood, "To be continued." he told Tash taking off to play a rather odd looking game of tag.
Shadowdancer turn his attention to them briefly, more to make sure his son was not going to get injured, before shaking his head with a snort and continuing on with lunch.

Tash watched Ris and Oreo for a minute before turning and walking to her horse, this conversation wasn't going to be continued. Ris was going to have to realize it was a bad idea all around.
Jumping onto the back of her horse, Tash gently urged the beast into a canter, not wanting to think about all they had just said. And the only way she could think of doing that was to out try and out run the thoughts, that and she needed to get away from Ris.

Eris-an stopped his chase when he realized Tash was leaving. He sighed watching her go, there would be no point in chasing her. Finally grabbing his tie back, when Oreo came to stand beside him to see what was going on, Eris-an turned to Shadowdancer. "Well at least it went better then expected." he said to the horse, patting his neck.
Shadowdancer looked back at the boy with a look that said, 'stupid human... she's leaving.'
"What?" Eris-an laughed, "You think I should after her?" he asked, not for the first time wondering if the horse understood him. Shadowdancer was odd that way, seeming to understand you perfectly and in his own way offer advice.
Oreo then nudged the back of his legs, pushing him toward Shadowdancers back and Shadowdancer tossed his head up and down as if to say, 'Yes now hurry your butt up.'
Eris-an sighed and shook his head, "I can't believe I am taking advice from a horse." he muttered getting on the older males back. And nearly fell off again when his mount suddenly moved after Tash's in a near run, but Eris-an saved himself with a last minute grab of the reins.
Catching up to Tash he pulled up beside her. Eris-an quickly leaned over and, before Tash could do anything, he laid a gentle kiss on her cheek. "I can wait." was all Eris-an said before kicking Shadowdancer into a dead run back to the stables.

Tash stared at the retreating pair before letting out a curse, why didn't he understand what she wanted was for the best. Tash just shook the thought from her mind and tried to forget Eris-an as well.
~Couple of hours later~
Tash slowly made her way back to the stables, there was only so long she could hide out here and it was starting to get late. She was not looking forward to the ride back to the school, and had they not been so far from the school she would have found another way to get back there. Sliding off her horse, Tash looked around to see if she could find something to brush down the mare with. Finding the brush's in one of the tack room, Tash grabbed couple of brushes and made her way back to her horse to find Eris-an standing there giving the mare some oats. Tash glared at him for a second, before setting to work brushing down the horse intent to not say anything to Eris-an.
